"Well," started Pride as he looked through the mirror in front of him. "I can't say that I expected to see you in this particular state."
The man in the mirror still had all the confidence and demeaner of someone worthy of hosting Pride, but he was completely drenched from head to toe. His normally style hair was slicked back as he rested against a wall, and his shirt clung to his muscles in a way that Pride was sure Hattie would appreciate.
As soon as he spoke, the man's eyes opened as he stared out in front of him.
"I thought you had left," sneered the man. Pride could hear every word he spoke perfectly, but the man in the mirror never once opened his mouth.
"There were… issues to be taken care of," replied Pride with a sneer of his own. It wasn't up to the human to demand answers from a demon, but at the same time, Pride was willing to accommodate this body.
"And now?"
