A shiver went down my back maybe 30 minutes after we had left the Legislature Compound. It started off slow and easy to ignore before it turned into a full-on siren screaming at me. Biting my tongue, I refused to cry out.
This was the offset to the mosquitoes, and as much as I didn't like the idea of all these demons on Earth… at least that gave me the opportunity to kill those who had taken out my other half.
And those who watched…
And those who were in the near vicinity…
And those who I just didn't like.
"They're coming," I hummed, a contented smile on my face. I wondered if a demon would try to possess me. After all, as far as I knew, I was human. I only had a fraction of the Devil's powers inside of me, so there was potential that a demon or two might try their luck.
