The Hole(s)

I was getting a bit tired of being looked at like I was crazy. Then again, if the label fit, who was I to question it?

"That's not how the song goes," announced Evelyn, her right eye twitching as she stared me down.

"Yes, it does," I replied, wrinkling my nose.

"No, it really isn't," she said, rolling her eyes. "Can't go over it, can't go under it, have to go through it."

"Are you crazy?" I demanded, my eyes going wide. "Who in their right mind would look at that wall and think you can go through it! Clearly, you go under it."

"Not according to the song," snapped Evelyn, clearly unable to give up this point.

"Fine," I sighed. This wasn't the hill I was going to die on. If Evelyn wanted people to go through the wall… then so be it. "But I bet my version was the one he was singing to himself."
