MUTINY?! Part 2

3 members that were on night watch duty were running down the stairs into the crew's quarters, weapons at their hand. They were going down to get the other members of their mutiny. As they made their way into the crew's quarters, they saw that the 3 other members were already awake and were waiting for them. They exchanged nods and unsheathed their weapons, ready to execute the remaining crew members.

From above on the ceiling, 2 purple eyes give out a faint glow and from just outside the crew's quarters 2 figure stands, weapons at the ready. Then in the blink of an eye.

-BZZT

Ryu launches off of the ceiling, little lightning arcs forming on his legs. He goes for a kick towards one of the mutineers.

-SMASH

-THUD

The mutineer crashes into the floor, eyes rolled back into his head. The remaining 5 immediately switch their attention to him and when they do both Davin and Fernando jump in from behind and into the room. Davin's eyes glowed and 2 spears made of light instantly fly through the air and into 2 of the remaining 5 members. The spears each pierce a leg and both men let out a scream as their legs now have a large, fist-sized hole in them.

At the same time as this Fernando slashed down his sabre on the back of another mutineer, he crumples to the ground. Fernando then dashes towards another member who has now turned his attention towards him. He slices upwards and the mutineer parries it away, pushing Fernando back slightly.

At this point the other crew members have been jolted awake by the sounds of battle, looking around in a daze, groggy from the rude awakening. They could see 4 men laying on the ground, 3 of whom were bleeding, 2 from the legs and another from the back. They saw Ryu standing above one of the bodies, Fernando clashing with a crew member and Davin with a bag of what seems like herbs and medicine.

Ryu noticing that crew members were now awake immediately jumped towards the remaining mutineer wanting to finish the fight as quick as possible. Ryu tried to stab with his lightning clad tanto, but he noticed the mutineer about to slash down into so he immediately jumped back as the sabre arced down just inches from his faces.

-WHOOSH

-SPRRT

A light spear flew from Ryu's right and pierced the man's side causing him to scream in pain and drop his weapon. Ryu dashes forward, kicks the sabre away and knocks the man out by hitting his head with the hilt of his tanto. He then went to look at how Fernando's fight was going and he saw that Fernando was still locked in a stalemate.

Fernando faces was now filled with small cuts and he has a massive gash on the his cheek that is bleeding. His breathing is heavy but still steady and the mutineer he is fighting is not in a better position than he is. 'Shit, I have to wrap this up quickly and meet up with the captain', he thought. Just as he finished that thought, Ryu came in from Fernando's left and rammed the last mutineer into one of the pillars that was used to hook up the hammocks, knocking the mutineer out.

Fernando and Ryu looked at each other for a moment, adrenaline pumping through their blood though Ryu wasn't breathing as heavily as Fernando. They nodded to each other. "ALL OF YOU THAT ARE AWAKE HELP THE GOOD MAN TREAT AND TIE UP THESE 6!", Fernando's voice boomed throughout the room, using his sabre to point at Davin then at the bodies of the mutineers. The crew members immediately sprung into action fetching rope and medical equipment. While this happened Ryu began running towards the deck, with Fernando following right behind him after giving his orders to the crew.

As they both reached the deck, the paused at the sight in front of them. Barrels and other equipment were thrown about and completely drenched with water. Right in front of them 3 of the mutineers were tied to the main mast, dripping wet. The captain who has just finished tying up the mutineers, looked to her side and saw the both of them. She said, "Your Late.", then gave a slight smile.

The entire crew has gathered at the deck, surrounding the mutineers that were all sitting down tied up. It took some time for the crew and Davin to treat the injuries and then tie them up and at the end of this whole ordeal, excluding the captain, first mate and our duo only about 6 crew members left. The mutineers had everything searched and their belongings removed. The crew found the letter that was responsible for this whole ordeal and discovered that all of the mutineers had the same tattoo. A sun that seems to split into 5 pieces.

"Who are the Five Suns?", the captain asks.

"How did y-", before Trent could finish asking, Captain Mer waved a folded piece of paper. "You didn't throw it away!?", he growled at the young man sitting next to him. "I-It w-was personally signed off by a member of the Five Suns. It is a treasure.", the young man desperately tried to defend himself.

"ANSWER ME!", Captain Mer's voice boomed through the air, shutting the 2 individuals up. Trent continued to just glare at the captain. However the youngster with pride in his voice answered, "The Five Suns are our lea-",

"WAIT NO!", Trent yelled, but it was too late. The young man burst into flames, . Captain Mer, in response, formed fists made of water and held onto the young man and the other mutineers who had their restraints burnt off. This extinguished the flames but the moment she released her hold on him, the fire burst into life again.

She had to do something and in that moment she flung the burning body as far as possible. Everyone watched as the body flew through the air and fall down straight down into the water, creating a splash.

"It seems like a curse of silence.", Davin said.

"A curse of silence?", Ryu asks.

"Master never taught you?"

"My time with Teacher Maduris was dedicated more towards learning languages and sword fighting. Our magical lessons were only for me to form the first circle, nothing more.", Trent had a slight reaction when Maduris was mentioned and Captain Mer noticed it.

"I see. It is a spell performed through a ritual, though the methods are unknown to me. It prevents the participants of the ritual from ever speaking of an agreed upon topic to non-participants.", Davin responded.

"Never heard of one that sets fire to the victim.", Captain Mer replied. She set down the other mutineers she held with her water hands and the crew members tied them up again. She noticed the mutineers were looking shocked at what just happened. All except for Trent.

"Looks like it's pointless to ask these lot anything. Put them in the holding cell.", the captain said to her remaining crew members. "We'll have the Vigilate Canibus deal with it when get to shore.", she said. She then turn to Fernando, Davin and Ryu. "We'll all need to pull some more weight around here to make up for lost numbers.", she said.

"WHAT!", Davin yelled, "A man of my stature and lineage, reduced to working like a dog?", he asked rhetorically.

"Davin please, I will not have you insult the hard-working good men of this crew by mocking their work.", Fernando replied before Captain Mer could even respond. His tone clearly showing that he was angry at Davin's words. Davin forced a cough, his ears red from embarrassment and apologised while bowing down, surprising everyone, "I apologise for my inconsiderate and rude words Fernando.".

Fernando quickly regained his composure and said, "That's alright Mr. Scientia, just please put up with the temporary arrangements until we make landfall.".

Captain Mer placed a hand on the First Mate's shoulder, "I'll take it from here Fernando, go down with the rest of the crew and help them. I still need to discuss something with our guests here.", she said. Fernando looked at her and saluted, "Yes captain.", he said and walked down the stairs, deeper into the ship.

Captain Mer gestured for both Davin and Ryu to enter her quarters. The both of them went in though Davin was eyeing her to try and figure out what she is up to. After settling into their seats, Captain Mer opened up with, "Will you be pursuing this organisation?". They both looked at her confused so she then continued, "It seems they know of your master Mudaris. Though I am assuming based on Trent's reaction to the name.".

At hearing that Davin slammed the table and asked in a shocked tone of voice, "Are you sure?".

"Positive."

"If that is so then I have reason to at least investigate possible links to my master."

Captain Mer then took out a necklace and began to fiddle with the gem it is attached to. The gem has a dark orange colour but is completely see through, there is a section with a lighter orange that is shaped almost like a spear jutting out of the darker orange section. "Is it possible for me to join you?"
