I woke up before the sun, my alarm buzzing faintly on the nightstand. For once, I didn't groan or hit snooze. Today was important. Today was the day.
Sliding out of bed, I stretched, feeling the cool morning air against my skin. My room was still dark, but the anticipation buzzing under my skin was enough to wake me fully. I had everything planned down to the minute.
After a quick shower, I stood in front of my closet, debating what to wear. It had to be something casual but still presentable. Layla would tease me if I looked too polished for a morning market run, but I wasn't about to show up in sweats either.
I settled on a fitted black t-shirt and a pair of dark jeans, rolling up the sleeves slightly. Comfortable, practical, and just enough effort. I grabbed a jacket, slipped on my sneakers, and ran a hand through my hair.
Good enough.
