Chapter 82

Lena's eyes fluttered open.

A dull ache pounded in her skull, her vision blurred as she took in the unfamiliar surroundings.

The room was dimly lit, a faint yellow glow coming from an old lamp in the corner. The air smelled of cheap perfume and stale smoke.

She tried to sit up, and her body tensed immediately.

She saw a woman sitting across from her, legs crossed, puffing a cigarette lazily. The tip of the cigarette glowed red as she inhaled, her other hand resting on her lap, holding a gun.

The woman was tall and lean, her platinum blonde hair tied into a messy ponytail.

She wore tight leather pants, a dark red crop top that exposed her toned stomach, and a black leather jacket draped over her shoulders.

A tattoo of a snake slithered down her left arm, looking dangerous.

Then Lena's heartbeat spiked. She knew she had to get out of here.

"Where am I?" Lena's voice came out hoarse, but strong.
