Early Morning Suspicions

The early morning news.

Judy Cho sat at her desk with her usual professional calm as she adjusted the papers in front of her. Her soft brown eyes scanned the camera, and then she began:

"It's been several days since the ten-day grace period was given to Metro City's well-known vigilante, Nightwatch. The Hero Agency offered him an opportunity to turn himself in and officially join their ranks."

She paused briefly as her fingers lightly tapped the desk as if trying to suppress a more personal thought.

"However, there has been no response from Nightwatch. In fact, he has not been seen since the announcement. No streams, no posts… absolutely nothing."

Her voice was steady, but there was a faint trace of sadness in her tone, one that surely didn't escape the more perceptive viewers.

Sitting beside her was her co-host, Tim Brandt, a man in his late thirties with neatly combed hair and an air of smug self-assurance.
