Invisible Troubles

Volkner Interstellar Museum, Metro City

Midnight…

The museum tour continued as their footsteps echoed through the vast, dark halls. Now leading the group were Shadow and Judy Cho who engaged in an animated conversation.

Shadow gestured toward the towering machinery and strange, dust-covered constructs lining the exhibit.

His voice carried both wonder and amusement.

"Man… I knew it was possible that there are alien races out there that don't even have stomachs, but who would've thought they'd adapt to the point where they could break their food down into raw energy and just absorb it?"

Judy's eyes widened as if he had just unlocked a core memory.

"RIGHT──?!"

She clapped her hands together so loudly that it startled a couple of the security drones hovering in the corner.
