Levi had a lean, muscled body. Despite his busy schedule, he had time to work out in the gym. His body and his good-looking face made him popular among the girls in his workplace.
That day, Levi cancelled his date with his female friend because of his tight schedule. However, his female friend was insistent and did not stop sending him text messages..
"From: Liza
Where are you? I don't accept impromptu cancellation of dates. You have to come or else I won't talk to you ever again!"
.
Levi's eyes opened wide with fear and texted her in response and texted,
"To: Liza
Hey, dear… Sorry, I never meant it like that! I will not promise but I will find a way to meet up. Don't be mad, okay?"
Levi replied and waited for Liza's response, as his phone chimed he immediately read the message.
.
"From: Liza
I don't accept what you said and you will visit me! 1900 Hours, sharp!"
.
Levi sighed and placed his palm on his forehead. He never thought his date was that pushy. He gave up finding excuses and agreed and said, "To: Liza
Yes, dear… I will go at your place! Please… you know you are my world. I will do everything for you!"
.
Levi felt relieved after receiving Liza's last message which said,
"From: Liza
Really? I love you dear!!! Love lots!"
.
Levi placed his phone away after the text message and returned to his laptop in his cubicle. He never knew that finding a girlfriend was a hassle. Worse, he never thought he'd end up with a pushy and a clingy girl. He found it a bit cute for a reason: he decided to stay with Liza.
After the day's work, Levi signed off at 1500 hours. Remembering his promise to his soon-to-be girlfriend. Levi rushed to the nearest pasty shop to buy her favorite chocolate-strawberry cake. When he bought the cake, Levi took a cab in order to make it in time. Travel time from the pastry shop to Liza's home was about one hour at least by foot.
Levi had to hurry before Liza would get mad at him. He knew the temper of his date, and she may not take it lightly. When he checked his notification from his phone, he saw there were a lot of text messages already. It was from Liza, asking where he was and was sending pictures of herself and the food she prepared for him.
Levi's phone rang. It was Liza who was calling. He immediately answered the phone and Liza immediately greeted him, "Hello, boyfie!"
Levi's face suddenly flushed and he stuttered upon saying, "H-hi, dear! Hush down, haven't we talked about this?"
"Does that mean you don't like me anymore?" Liza replied.
"No, that's… not it! I appreciate all the things you have done but… can we…" Levi suddenly stopped talking and a woman from outside of the cab screamed.
The cab where Levi was riding suddenly turned red from the inside. As if something exploded, painting the glass and the interior red with blood. Levi' opened his eyes and noticed his face was covered with blood and also his clothes.
"Levi, what's happening?" Liza asked him on his phone.
"No, it's nothing... something just cut the phone call suddenly," Levi said, as he found himself surrounded by monsters and a mage wearing a purple garb with inscriptions on it.
The mage addressed Levi, who was confused about what was happening, by saying, "I see that you have resistance to my magic, boy!"
"Who are you?" Levi asked the mage, who was hovering in front of him.
"Your demise!" The mage grinned maliciously.
Seeing the malicious eyes of the mage, Levi felt shivers in his spine and dread soon followed. Before he could think, he ran away from the site. His survival instinct took over, focusing on his self preservation.
"It's useless, boy!" the mage said to Levi who ran in zigzag pattern away from him.
Moments later, sirens sounded from the enforcer's cars. Radio chatter sounded, and the civilians were told to evacuate the area. Wearing their tactical gear, resistant of magic and weapons that were said to be anomalous. The tactical enforcers advanced to where the mage was hovering.
"Such pests!" Annoyed with the situation, the mage commented, "They lack magical finesse but compensate with speed and brute force. Such barbarians!"
A seal suddenly drawn into the ground, glowing in a translucent blue. The pattern and the inscriptions of the seal were not familiar to the enforcers who encircled the hovering mage. "Just as I thought… brainless barbarians, they are!" The mage commented and activated the seal.
An otherworldly scream from the seal shattered the glass windows of the buildings. It injured nearby bystanders and people who were cordoned by the authorities.
The mage looked unimpressed with the resistance offered by the enforcers. Believing them to be wasting his time, he summoned two creatures to keep them occupied. He used his teleport skill after two creatures, a chimera and a griffin, appeared.
After escaping from the scene, Levi stopped in an alley, thinking he was safe. He was catching his breath and looked around. Looking at his phone it there was no signal and returned it to his pocket in his trousers. When he looked up, a window resembling that from a computer screen appeared in front of him.
