CHAPTER 38 : BLACK & WHITE PART 4

"Huh... Huh... Huh..." A woman with green-red eyes gasped, her clothes and body smeared with blood. In front of her lay two large three-eyed dogs and the bodies of scattered gangsters.Alex, White, and a muscular man merely observed her, with Alex aiming his gun at her while White transformed his body into that of an iron tiger. The muscular man smirked at the woman."It seems your mutation cells have activated..." White said, as the woman gritted her teeth, her expression turning fierce."Now I have powers like yours! I will kill you! Don't come near me!" the woman shouted, desperate, as her dogs bared their sharp teeth."I need someone like you... Because you're a Mutant, you can rise to the highest ranks in my organization," White replied calmly, stepping forward while Alex lowered his gun."You're insane. Just a moment ago, you tried to kill me... Everyone I knew is dead because of you... What's wrong with you all? We don't have any wars or problems with anyone!" the woman responded, still terrified and skeptical of White."We're cleaning up the underworld. Any group that refuses to join the White Tigers will be destroyed. A new era has begun: Mutants like us will be above the weak humans..." White explained."What are you talking about? I... don't understand at all!" the woman sighed."Choose. Join the White Tigers... or die here. Don't waste your life," White said, stepping forward again.The woman stepped back and waved her hands desperately, sending her two dogs charging toward White."What a waste," White sighed, as he smashed one dog's head until it split open. Alex then fired a shot that pierced the second dog's head, killing it instantly.The two dogs melted into pools of blood, and the woman tried to move her hands, but Alex fired another shot that hit her palm."Ah!" she screamed in pain as White approached her, gripping her hand tightly. The woman closed her eyes, resigned to her fate."Calm down, boss. She's just scared... Not that she's hurting us," the muscular man managed to hold White's hand back before it struck the woman, while White's expression remained blank, a smile still plastered on the man's face."Hey, miss... Why not join the White Tigers? I don't think you can withstand the boss for long," the man suggested, looking at the woman. Her hands trembled as she held White's grip."O-Okay. I... I'll join the White Tigers..." the woman replied. White finally released her hand, exhaling deeply. He walked away, while the muscular man lowered himself, watching the woman as she slumped weakly to the floor."I'm *******. What's your name, miss?""Nora..."I have no choice but to submit to them. My entire group was killed... I survived only because my Mutant cell activated suddenly.They offered me a high position in the White Tigers just because I'm a Mutant. White is determined to change the underworld; he will personally take down other gangs.So different from other gang leaders who hide, White shows why Mutants are powerful, with his own hands. He has conquered an entire underworld within months..."What do you think of your new room, Miss Nora?" the muscular man asked as he entered Nora's new, neatly decorated room."No need to call me 'miss' anymore," Nora sighed."If you want me to just call you Nora, I have no problem with that," the man replied, and Nora sighed again."Suit yourself," she said.The man is strange. There's something about him that makes me feel like something's off, but I can't explain it."Ngauuurrr!" Nora's two dogs bit a man repeatedly while Nora and the muscular man merely watched."Ah! Stop! Stop! Arrrghhhh!" The man being tortured screamed in agony, and the muscular man gently tapped Nora's shoulder to signal her to stop. Nora clenched her hands, causing her dogs to cease their movements."Now... can you speak?" the muscular man asked."Y-Yes! I'll tell you!" the tortured man groaned.My life as a Mutant is comfortable. The White Tigers were built by all of us, our strong control over the underworld, piles of money.Then came the 'Masked Man' who tried to threaten us. Foolish, very foolish. Whether he's a Mutant or not, it doesn't matter.They will all be crushed under our power."Waaauurrghhh!" A six-eyed giant dog opened its mouth wide, trying to pounce on Khairul. With two blades, Khairul held himself back from being attacked. Nasuha released a beam of light that pushed the dog back, giving Khairul a chance to distance himself.At the same time, Kyoko focused her attacks on Nora, while the men surrounding Nora fired their guns at Kyoko. With her speed, Kyoko dodged all the bullets, punching one man, her lightning power electrifying his body.Khairul tried to slice the giant dog's leg, but his blade wasn't long enough to penetrate the creature fully, and he was kicked away by the dog. The giant dog leaped towards Khairul, but was blocked by the shield of light created by Nasuha.Kyoko managed to take down the last man, but Nora seized the opportunity to summon a new monster from her hand. She formed a red snake that bit Kyoko and knocked her away from Nora."She's fast; it seems she knows if she takes me down first, my summoned creatures will disappear too. But... can you keep focusing on me while your minions are in danger, lightning girl?" Nora monologued, creating two dagger-winged vultures that flew directly at Nasuha."Ergh!" Nasuha was struck by the blades of both vultures on her shoulder and the side of her stomach."Nasuha! Arghh!" Khairul was worried about Nasuha, causing him to lose focus and be hit by the giant dog. Nasuha flew, dodging the two vultures. She was in pain and covered her wound on her side."It hurts... so much..." Nasuha monologued."Kuso!" Kyoko snatched the snake that was biting her, causing it to dissolve back into a pool of blood. She noticed Nasuha was injured and the giant dog was dominating Khairul, and Kyoko cast a glance at Nora before flying toward Nasuha."Kwaak!" The two vultures tried to attack Nasuha again, but this time, Nasuha managed to create a shield around herself. Kyoko struck her lightning at the two vultures, destroying them."Nasuha, are you hurt?" Kyoko asked."It's not bad... Help Khairul first," Nasuha replied. Kyoko nodded and rushed toward Khairul. Nasuha looked at her wound; blood was gushing out, but she forced her wound to close using her light power."Arrh!" Nasuha held back her pain, but she was attacked again by another vulture, and Nora merely watched."Star Slash!" Nasuha slashed through the two new vultures that Nora sent at her, her eyes glowing with bright light, looking furious.Kyoko carried Khairul away from the giant dog."What happened to Nasuha?" Khairul asked."She said the wound isn't deep... What about you?" Kyoko replied while slipping in her question."My wounds are nothing too, but my attacks don't hurt the dog at all," Khairul said. Kyoko then grabbed the back of Khairul's shirt."Don't waste time attacking its legs. Go for its head!" Kyoko flew Khairul up toward the dog, throwing him as hard as she could."Okay!" Khairul shouted, spinning his body in mid-air as lightning followed behind him, propelling him quickly toward the dog. Khairul sliced into the dog's head before exiting from its back, covered in blood.Nora looked momentarily terrified at Khairul's action, but she quickly sent her vultures toward him. The shield of light blocked the creatures, and Nasuha flew behind Khairul, creating a light barrier around the two of them."What are they doing?" Nora wondered aloud. Kyoko then pushed Khairul and Nasuha from behind, and the three of them sped toward Nora."Just die quickly!" Nora sent a giant snake and her two dogs at them, the snake biting through Nasuha's light barrier, pushing them back slightly and slowing their pace.The two dogs approached Kyoko, forcing her to dodge, but Kyoko retaliated by striking the dog with a lightning whip. Nasuha's light barrier cracked from the powerful bite of the giant snake, and she and Khairul quickly retreated before the snake could destroy the barrier."I won't waste time playing with you guys any longer! Blood Summon, Chimera!" Nora used her powers, merging all her blood beasts into a Chimera. The creature had the head of a lion and a goat, bat wings, and a snake for a tail."Feels like déjà vu, huh, Nasuha?" Kyoko sighed."Just like... that time," Nasuha replied, recalling the monsters Syauqi, Hanna, and Teacher Syahir had summoned against her before."When was that?" Khairul asked, confused. Before anyone could answer him, the Chimera unleashed a stream of acid at them, and Nasuha defended herself and her team by creating a light barrier, but the barrier melted upon contact with the acid.The Chimera charged rapidly toward Khairul, its snake tail still spewing acid, forcing Nasuha to use her powers for defense. Kyoko repositioned Khairul for better safety, while Khairul tried to stab the creature from the side, but the Chimera's wings struck his face."Aaaurrrghhh!" The Chimera began to fly, and Nasuha released a Star Slash at the creature, but her attack wasn't strong enough to cleave it and only inflicted a wound. Kyoko pulled Nasuha back before she was hit by the Chimera's attack."Hiyaarghh!" Khairul attacked Nora, but she quickly responded by sending a snake that pushed him away."Just a little more..." Nora thought to herself, as Khairul sliced the snake's mouth, looking fierce with his bloodied outfit."Nasuha... why aren't you using Star Beam?!" Kyoko asked, maneuvering to avoid another blow from the Chimera."I can't focus... They've been attacking nonstop since earlier," Nasuha complained, and Kyoko sighed deeply."We'll give you time and focus. Don't think about anything, just release the Star Beam... the Star Beam like last time," Kyoko urged, recalling the Star Beam Maximum Output Nasuha had unleashed before, which had sent Stray Farah flying away."Okay... Be careful," Nasuha instructed, and Kyoko gave her a thumbs up before launching herself at the Chimera, crashing into the creature and sending them both back to the ground. Nasuha placed both hands forward and took a deep breath, her side wound opening slightly."Arh!" Nasuha tried to ignore the pain, gathering light energy around her."Aaaurrghhh!" The Chimera attempted to pounce on Kyoko multiple times, but she evaded every attack, striking the creature with strong lightning that momentarily halted its movement.My body aches... My head is spinning. But I've felt pain before. Just ignore it... Focus...Khairul continued attacking Nora, his relentless strikes preventing her from summoning larger and stronger beasts, allowing him to slice through them quickly."So annoying!" Finally, Nora attack using the turtle she's been sitting on, which spun and collided with Khairul, the sound of cracking bones echoed as Khairul was thrown against the wall.Khai! Don't... don't... focus!Gather it... like before. You can do this..."Kiarrghhh!" The acidic breath of the Chimera hit Kyoko slightly, causing the left side of her costume to melt. Kyoko quickly ripped the damaged part to prevent the acid from spreading, but her palm was slightly burned by the acid."Mendokse!" Kyoko groaned as the Chimera lunged at her, forcing her to dodge again. The creature's wings began to flap, propelling it quickly towards Kyoko."I have... no energy left!" Kyoko exclaimed, feeling weak as the creature approached her."Star Beam!" Nasuha finally unleashed the Star Beam, striking the side of the Chimera's body."Aaaaurrrhhh!" The creature was pushed back, and Kyoko smiled."Nasuha, can you shield them? Do you think you can do it?""I trust you all...""Maximum Output!" The light from the Star Beam grew larger and stronger, pushing the Chimera away. Nasuha aimed her beam to direct the Chimera towards Nora."Wh—" Before Nora could react, she was collided with the Chimera. The Star Beam engulfed both of them in its light.Nasuha descended slowly, nearly collapsing but managing to steady herself. She closed the wound on her side, feeling pain return as Kyoko landed beside her and Khairul rushed toward them."Nasuha... Are you okay? Your wounds?!" Khairul exclaimed, noticing the blood on the side of Nasuha's costume. A smile appeared on Nasuha's face."I'm okay... I'm a mutant, you know? My wounds don't heal fast as you, but I'll be fine." Nasuha replied, causing Khairul to let out a long sigh as he gently stroked her head."Sometimes I almost forget... how terrifying your powers are because you're so cute, Nasuha," Kyoko remarked, and the three of them turned to look ahead, seeing the burnt wall with Nora leaning against it."Did... did I kill her?" Nasuha asked as Kyoko approached Nora to check on her."She's just unconscious. A mutant's body can withstand attacks like that, but if it were a human, all their internal organs would probably be damaged..." Kyoko explained, noticing the slight burn on Nasuha's palm."Fuh..." Nasuha sighed."What should we do with her?" Khairul inquired."There must be some rope around here..." Kyoko searched the area for any rope, but suddenly, Khairul's hearing picked up the sound of sirens approaching."Is... is the police coming? They're close," Khairul said, and soon the sound of sirens was audible to both Nasuha and Kyoko. Nasuha attempted to fly but didn't have enough strength left, so Khairul quickly took her hand."We should hide first. I want to see what they'll do," Kyoko suggested."Are you sure?" Khairul asked."Yes..." Kyoko replied, looking determined. She lifted Khairul and Nasuha to the upper floor using her remaining strength. The sound of police sirens grew louder outside the building as two armored vehicles labeled 'Special Force: Superhuman' parked in front of the White Tigers' headquarters."How did they find out?" Nasuha whispered."Maybe because we destroyed the roof of this building?" Kyoko muttered, recalling how foolish it was to destroy the roof of the White Tiger headquarters. Nasuha made a strange face, and Khairul smiled bitterly.Members of the Special Force, armored and armed, began storming into the building. Syafiq walked in, scanning the surroundings."Search every nook and cranny... Make sure if there are any superhumans here, they don't escape our grasp."
