Lucian is Afraid of Child Support

The wind outside howled mercilessly, rattling against their rocky shelter like a relentless beast.

The temperature kept dropping, seeping through the cracks of the cave, but thankfully, they had an unlimited supply of firewood, ensuring they wouldn't freeze to death in the middle of nowhere.

Bear curled up beside the fire, its large body rising and falling steadily as it slept, lulled by the gentle crackling of the flames. Lucian leaned against the cave wall while Medeia sat in front of him, allowing him to wrap his arms around her from behind.

"You know … we'll have to stay here for another day," Medeia said suddenly.

"I know." Lucian hummed in response, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I wouldn't mind staying even longer."

The cave wasn't exactly an ideal place to live, but at least here, they didn't have to do anything.

No night patrols.

No taking care of a baby around the clock.

No dealing with students.

Just peace.
