The screams of the Silver Angel were heard as she found herself standing in a dark, empty area of the forest, slowly healing her burnt flesh. She took a deep breath, sighing calmly while looking around.

"Tsk... that hurts like hell," the Silver Angel said as she stared at herself.

Since her new skill, the Soul Warper Skill, granted her the ability to absorb souls and store them in her body, she was able to evade permanent death by sacrificing a soul the moment she died. A soul would automatically be sacrificed in exchange for her life.

This is how she was able to avoid death, but the last attack of the Dark King left her in a fragile state. Since she had already sacrificed every soul she had absorbed in exchange for surviving that last attack, she was currently weakened until she recovered.
