"Mr Jaye?" The security man now turned looking at him for a go ahead response,but he wasn't accepting that . 

" Errrm I just remembered I had some important files to attend to against tomorrow", so going with you guys now would make it impossible for me he said quickly turning their suggestions down, and giving the staff that called him out earlier cold side eyes.

" So no one is willing to accompany us on this?" The security man asked again feeling disappointed this time around. 

No one replied or was willing to go, everyone kept quiet.

" I will go sir " Everyone turned in surprise and shock to look at who said that. 

" Ken?, what are you talking about?" The principal asked. 

" Am willing to accompany them in this journey sir ".  Emmanuel was my close friend, and I was also involved in his misfortune.  I know it won't rewrite my mistakes, or turn the hands of time back. But I am still willing to do this for Emmanuel, for the friendship bond and love we shared together. And I am still hoping and praying he is still alive and safe somewhere, that has always been my prayer for the past days. I hope it all a joke and it doesn't come out as we all are thinking it to.  He said walking down the stairs to come meet them downstairs.

" And I am willing to go to Moses and say, " Following ken behind, this is what we brought on ourselves let all face the consequences in it.

" Boys, please you are not allowed to go into that place. we can't risk you guys again, we are still in a mess right now, don't bring in another please"  the principal said, gesturing to them to go back to their dorm and back to bed.

" Am sorry sir but I really want to do this for Emmanuel. No one is ready to go with them but I and Moses are ready to go with them.  We need to know what happened to Emmanuel, it has been days since we saw him last after what happened the other night. Please let us go sir.

We will be fine, and will come back without any implications. we won't implicate you or the school pleases sir let us go,we really want to do this for our friend, please sir the boys pleaded, and the principal couldn't say anything anymore, he was just downcasted now, feeling ashamed of himself for not first setting an example for them rather he turned it down cause of fear.

But these boys are brave and bold, they just showed him what it means to be a good leader, and a good leader set examples for others to follow.

"I will go along with you too" The principal said, I should be the one leading with examples for others to follow, but it seems I let fear get the hold of me.  But I am willing to amend my mistakes, let us all go into that bush at once and find our missing student he said with determination and seriousness. 

" Uhmm sorry sir,I don't think I would be going?" The vice principal said I have some things to do right now. 

"You  are a woman, I'm not expecting you to come on this journey with us. The principal replied. Just make sure the school is in order and safe, he said. 

"Sure sir" I will thank you for understanding, she replied.

 The principal turned to the boys and said " I want you guys to go back to your dorms to sleep. I promise I got this. I don't want any implications again, I won't risk it this time around he said looking at the boys.

"Sir" we are determined to do this, and we want to do this. Any consequences that come with it let us bear it but let us do this for our friend Emmanuel ken replied.

The principal saw their willing and determined mind and couldn't do anything about it anymore. He just had to let them go with everyone. I just hope you would protect yourselves when the time comes, cause it a journey of everyone for himself, am too old to protect you, the only protection I can give you right now is for you to go back to your dorm but you turned me down, so let go but stay behind the security men please, do not walk ahead them, always make sure you stay under cover am i understood?

"Yes sir " they replied.

"Now Good" the principal replied.

Please let the journey begin, it is getting darker already. They all moved towards the bush with the two boys and the principal behind the security men. Before the entrance of the bush was the school farm for the agric students. As they were passing through the farm, the principal looked around and shook his head and said " you guys had been the ones stealing from this farm too right?

" No sir" they denied it immediately, we only came here once or twice, but we ain't the only one stealing from this farm. most of the students from other dorms too are coming here, Ken said.

"Hmmm" the principal signed and gave them side eyes and they continued the journey.

They got to the end of the farms, and the bush lay ahead of them, and the tension came again, then the principal asked again. " Are you boys sure you want to do this?" 

" Yes sir" Moses replied now looking at the bush " This is the same place we are always hoping and willing to come into to make our meals, our hidden place,but now it now looks like one of the most dangerous places to be, but I still believe my friend is in there somewhere and i want to find him too.
