Power!

Even though Masa had decided to devour Ddraig, he thought that it could only be used to improve his strength slightly, especially after recalling how Issei used the Boosted Gear in the original story, yet he realized that the ability of Ddraig was stronger than he had imagined. 

"As expected of the Heavenly Dragon." 

The basic ability of the Boosted Gear was to double the power of the user. 

If Masa had to say, this ability was similar to the ability of Moa Moa no Mi that Masa of DxD had given to Van Auger. 

Still, many would say that the Moa Moa no Mi was far better as it could affect not only the physical ability but also other aspects. More importantly, the user had no need to wait for ten seconds to use their ability. 

This ten-second wait was simply a burden, and why the Moa Moa no Mi was far better as it could affect the concept of "more" better. 

Yet, was that the case? 

Was the ability of the Boosted Gear a lower version of the Moa Moa no Mi?

After Masa ate the Boosted Gear, he understood that wasn't the case at all. Instead, it was all due to the god that this Longinus had become the lower version of the Moa Moa no Mi. 

The might of the Welsh Dragon, Ddraig, was impressive, as it wasn't called the Heavenly Dragon for nothing, and it was because of that the god limited its power within the Boosted Gear, so the human, who would become the user of this power, could wield its power, and at the same time, it wouldn't go berserk and cause destruction to everyone. 

The Sacred Gear was, after all, a double-edged weapon created by a god to protect humanity from supernatural beings. 

If the user of the Sacred Gear was good, then it was all good, but if the user was evil, then this limiter could be a method to limit their powers. 

Yet, was that the case? 

Masa knew that this thought of his would become blasphemy in the eyes of those believers, and he was sure that he would be cursed to death, but once again, he was a devil, so he should put his view toward the interest of a devil as a whole. 

So, while he knew that he might be overthinking it, somehow, he believed the reason why god gave the human the Sacred Gear wasn't because it wished to protect humanity.

Instead, he felt that it wished to destroy all its enemies by manipulating a human! 

How could he think so? 

The reason for this came from the fact that the system to manage the Sacred Gear was in the hands of God. 

So, if the users of the tried to harm those who were on the side of the god, it would try to stop and limit the use of the Sacred Gear, but if it tried to harm other myths and the enemy of the god, it would be given a power to even kill a god! 

Yet, why did a god do so? 

If Masa had to say it, it would be because god had a limited number of followers, and its angels could even betray it by becoming fallen angels. More importantly, the gods from the other myths weren't weak, and they could move at any moment to take it down. To protect everything, it decided to give humanity the power so they could help it take down the other gods and supernatural beings that tried to harm it. 

Naturally, as a god had control over the system, if the human that was chosen tried to betray it, then it would kill it directly by taking the Sacred Gear and killing the human. 

So, was a god evil then? 

Masa didn't think so; instead, he felt that the god was impressive, and this might be the reason why its religion had become the one with the most believers instead of others. 

As for why a human was chosen, wasn't it obvious? 

It was because they reproduce so fricking fast! 

Even if one died, no one cared about them, which showed how divine the intelligence of the god was. 

More importantly, the god could also create a good impression on everyone, causing all of humanity to choose it as the god that all of them should worship. 

Regardless, the god wasn't omnipotent, and it had died, but this was also the reason why the Sacred Gear was no longer able to be controlled and gain such a divine power; it was natural for humanity to go on a rampage and destroy everything, right? 

After all, it was normal to destroy the old order to gain a new order, which was when the current leaders of all the devils received their authority and power from killing the previous leaders of all the devils. 

Yet, once again, Masa wouldn't judge anyone as evil or good in this problem since only the winner could judge whether the other was evil or good. 

Nevertheless, as the god had died, let's not talk about it anymore; instead, Masa was more interested in the new abilities that he had gained. 

"So, I don't get its energy, huh?" 

Once again, if there was a reason why a mighty being was called a "mighty," it was because it owned an incredible amount of energy within its body, so whatever its powers were, as long as it had a gigantic amount of energy, it could do anything. 

No matter how unique the power was, as long as the user had no energy, it was meaningless. 

In the case of the devil, it was the Demonic Power, and it was also the reason why Sairaorg was despised despite being strong, as his Demonic Power was so little. 

The Demonic Power was also the reason why Sirzech was chosen as Lucifer. 

Still, Ddraig's ability was good, especially the multiple manipulations, which made him able to multiply anything. 

'Can I increase the taste and the nutritional value of the food, too?' 

Yet, all of a sudden, a loud voice interrupted his thoughts.

"MASAAAAAAAAAA!" 

At the same time, a wave of powerful energy spread within the city where he was living. 

"This voice...?" 

Masa was startled and quickly left his laboratory without even checking his new ability further. He knew well that he was in trouble, but even so, he couldn't let the damage that might be caused by this source of his trouble spread to the city and affect the devils in his domain. 

'I know that this will happen soon.' 

Yet, he didn't expect that it would happen so fast! 

However, as Masa was ready to face this trouble, all of the devils and living beings in the area were affected by the pressure of this being. They were all trembling in fear due to her mighty power and could only look at this being in horror as, for the first time after hundreds of years, this being shown all of her power. 

"COMEEEE OUTTTTT!, SCUMBAG!!!" 

At that moment, an alarm sounded, and a loud emergency reminder was heard everywhere. No one thought to stay, especially since their master was related, but still, all of them were worthy of his followers as they might even attack this being as long as they were given a chance. 

Rather, the moment this being entered the domain, all of Masa's followers quickly pulled everyone away; no one would be so close to the place of their meeting as their conversation, and their next action might lead to a sensitive act that might bring trouble to his image. 

At the same time, while this being was angry, it seemed she didn't want to ruin his reputation and only released her power when she was close and was sure that no one was around. 

Regardless, ignoring the others, Masa came to face this being with an awkward and complicated expression.
