Ginny was very grateful that Mikael first led her to her house, where she changed into something worthy of greeting her boyfriend's family for the first time.
She chose to wear a grey, blue, and white floral dress, which looked very pretty on her and then wore a pair of heels.
When she came downstairs, he complimented her beauty, which made her blush, and as she held his hand all the way to the Zarayne Manor, she could not help but ask herself why she felt so comfortable with him.
It had not even been a day since she had known him, and she grew nervous the more she thought about it.
Mikael and she cooked up a story that they had known each other for a couple of months, which she was going to tell his mother. And this relieved her.
When they entered the gates of the Zarayne Estate, she was stunned at the sight of the majestic Manor, and she immediately noticed the flags on it.
"You are Nobles?"
"Yes. My Grandfather is a Viscount." He told her, and she grew very nervous.
She did not know anything about the Noble Etiquette, and she really did not want to disappoint him and his Mother.
"Relax," He comforted her, and she bravely nodded her head despite feeling restless.
As soon as the car stopped in front of the Manor, a butler came over to open the door for them and then bowed to Mikael.
He even bowed to her, which made her feel very uncomfortable, but she was glad that the young Zarayne was holding her hand right now and was pulling her inside the Manor with him.
"Mikael!" Someone excitedly called out to him, and both stopped and turned around, where a little boy was running inside, looking very excited.
Mikael let go of her hand and caught the boy who lunged into his arms and then spun around with him.
"Hey, what were you doing outside? Sneaking again?"
"Hehe..." The boy innocently giggled and then curiously looked at Ginny. "Who are you?" He softly asked.
"This is my girlfriend, Ginny, and this little one is my brother and cousin, Micah."
"Hello, Micah." She offered him her hand, and the little boy happily shook it.
"You are pretty, Sister."
"Thank you."
Even though it was just a kid, seeing that she was getting along just fine with someone from his family, gave her a lot of confidence.
However, all that confidence vapourised the moment he led her to the lounge, and several pairs of eyes turned to look at them.
"Mikael," A pregnant lady stood up, and Mikael let go of her hand and walked over to the lady to hug her.
"Long time no see, Aunty." He playfully said, and she laughed. "So, I am back in the family?" He curiously asked her and she rolled her eyes at those words.
Whilst the two chatted, a lady, who looked to be in her late thirties, stood and walked over to Ginny with a smile.
"Ginny, right?" She asked, and the girl timidly nodded her head.
"I am Maria, Mikael's mother." She drew her hands forward, and Ginny placed her hands in hers. "You are pretty."
"You are beautiful, Aunty." She sincerely said.
The woman really did not look like she had crossed fifty years.
"Thank you. Come, sit with me." She led her to the couch, where a girl, a year or two older than her, was seated.
"Hello," She greeted her and only received a smile and a nod in return, which made her feel a little awkward.
On the other side, Aunt Sariah was busy trying to tease Mikael about his little Mistress and asked about her from him.
Eventually, their chat ended, and Mikael straight went to the old lady, who was sitting on a rocking chair, reading a book.
He sat down on the carpet near her legs, and then placed his arms on the armrest, stopping the chair. He playfully looked at her when she lowered the book in her lap and smiled his way.
"She's pretty." The old woman commented with a smile, and he grinned at her.
"Of course, she is. Your grandson has a good eye."
"My grandson is stupid." She scoffed but then gently planted her hand on his head, ruffling his hair a little. "Always be happy."
"I will." He nodded his head in a promise, and she laughed at how silly he acted at times.
There were some old maids in the room, whom he greeted as well. And they left to prepare snacks for him after he made the requests.
Once they were gone, he sat down with his aunt and reached inside his pocket to take out two small plastic cases.
"For you and father. Consume them when you are together at night." He mischievously said and she immediately grabbed his ear and twisted it. "Ow... I am kidding! It's a good thing."
"Hmph! What good thing is it?"
"Something that even if someone spends billions, they might never get their hands on." He said to her and then leaned close to her ear to whisper something.
Sariah's eyes widened at his words, but then she looked doubtful.
"You are not playing games, are you?"
"I promise." He smiled at her, and then she stared at the two cases with a complicated look. "I have one for Mother as well. Don't worry."
"Okay. Just so you know, if it doesn't work, I am not going to talk to you. Also..." She looked at her bulging belly and stopped.
"It's safe for pregnant ladies in all stages. In fact, it is quite beneficial to the baby."
"Okay."
"What are you two talking about?" Maria asked, raising her brow, and Miakel went over to give her a similar case.
"There are two things inside this case. You should consume them when you are alone in your room." He said to her, and she waited for him to explain himself.
"Maria, can you please go to your room and consume them now? If this boy is giving me false hope, I am going to beat him with a stick."
"You are not playing games, are you?" She asked, and he just smiled at his mother. "Okay, wait here."
"Mikael, that..." Ginny had a guess what was inside those cases, and seeing him nod his head, she blushed a little.
Sariah misunderstood her reaction and glared at him.
"Ginny, you tell Aunty what is inside the case."
She nervously looked at the lady.
"It's a pill, Aunty. It's a good thing." She promised, and seeing the innocent girl vouching for him, she did not doubt his words anymore.
"What good thing?" Anaiah raised her brow at her cousin.
"Here."
And she received a pill, the size of a ping-pong, in her hand.
"Go to your room and eat it."
"Why not here?" She questioned.
"Umm.. you should go to your room." Ginny sincerely said, and Anaiah sighed and stood up to leave for her room.
"Come here." Sariah invited the girl to come sit with her, and the two began chatting, leaving Mikael bored on the couch.
He eventually fished out his phone and made a call to his Mother-in-Law, asking her how everyone was feeling now.
"That's good. Tell Uncle that you can stay at the Villa for as long as they want. I will be happy to have them there."
"Thank you, Mikael. May I ask where are you right now?"
"I am at the Family Manor and will be back after lunch."
"Oh, okay. Take your time."
"Take care."
"You too."
When he returned to the lounge, he found Ginny blushing furiously, and Sariah was clearly having a lot of fun teasing her innocent heart.
Seeing that the girl did not seem to mind her teasing, he did not interfere in the chat and sat down on the opposite couch again.
Little Micah soon entered the room and immediately sat down next to him.
"Brother, you promised that you would take me to the amusement park." He complained.
"I will, but things are not stable right now. There's some danger. I will take you out when everything settles down, okay?"
"Okay." Though sad, the little boy obediently nodded his head.
A few minutes later, two men entered the lounge, and everyone stood up at their arrival.
One of them was an old man, who had all-white hair, and he was seemingly in his sixties, looking quite healthy and had a straight and sturdy posture. He had a white beard on his face too, well-kempt, which gave an amiable impression to the people.
The other was a man seemingly in his early forties, and he had a tuft of white hair on his temples, and a short beard, which gave him a majestic look.
"Grandpa." Mikael happily walked over and hugged the old man, who sighed at his behaviour and then under the narrowed eyes of his wife, hugged back his Grandson. "Dad." He hugged the other man next, who sighed as well and returned his hug.
"You must be Robert's daughter." Gabriel looked at Ginny, who tensed up under his eyes. "Be honest with me, Girl. How long have you two known each other for?"
"A couple of months, Sir." She nervously answered, and Sariah glared at her husband for always being so overbearing.
"Has he ever mistreated you?"
"No, Sir."
"Good. If he does, let me know, I will break his legs."
"Granny Bella, see, he still wants to beat me..." Mikael immediately complained to the old woman, who furrowed her brows.
"Gabriel, if you raise your hand on your son again, you are not allowed to see my face when I die. He's not a kid anymore. He's married, and you must show respect to him."
The Young Zarayne felt happy at seeing the ugly expression on his father's face as he was admonished, and Ginny, who witnessed this scene, was shell-shocked.
"We have a guest here, Mother." Gabriel tried to say but was cut off.
"What guest? She's your son's little lover. There are no guests here."
And just like that, his majestic image crumbled in Ginny's heart.
"Oh, yes. I just remembered something. I have a gift for you." Mikael said and then walked to his aunt to take one of the cases from her hand. "Here, please consume them right away or their efficiency will diminish even more."
"What is this?" Gabriel asked when he opened the case and found a strange white pill and a small vial that contained a drop of a sparkling, viscous liquid.
"Poison." He grinned, and his father glared at him before he tossed the pill in his mouth.
His eyes widened at how it melted, and he understood that it was a good thing. He then immediately put the drop of liquid in his mouth and consumed it as well.
As soon as he did it, Sariah could no longer hold back her laughter, and Ginny lowered her head, not daring to look up.
Mikael safely retreated to the side of his Grandma, and seeing their antics, Gabriel's eyes turned cold.
However, he soon felt a mix of hot and cold all over his body, and his wife, who was laughing, suddenly turned quiet and stared at him with wide eyes.
Even little Micah had his mouth open as he witnessed the magical scene, however, his nose soon scrunched up.
"Dad, you stink." He cutely said, and everyone else covered their noses at the reminder.
Gabriel was embarrassed when he saw his body secreting a dark sweat, which made his stomach turn, and seeing Sariah start feeling nauseous, he immediately bolted out of the room.
Soon everyone recovered from their shock and turned to look at Mikael in disbelief.
