Avery stumbled through the foggy remnants of the night, her head spinning as her bare feet grazed the floor. "I need to use the bathroom!" she declared, her voice slicing through the haze of her disorientation.
As she navigated the dimly lit hallway, her eyes unfocused and still battling the effects of the previous evening, she crashed into someone. "Lo siento," she mumbled, too preoccupied to look up and see who it was.
Mike's eyes widened in recognition as he registered the dishevelled figure before him. A surge of urgency propelled him to pull out his phone. "Sir, we've found her," he spoke into the device, adrenaline coursing through his veins.
"Good. Send me the details," came the reply, heavy with an ominous edge.

Meanwhile, Alex stood before an expansive, floor-to-ceiling window, the city lights twinkling below like distant stars. The ring of his phone cut through his nostalgia, and a smile crept across his face as he listened. "I've missed you, Avery," he murmured, tracing the cool glass with his fingertip, lost in treasured memories.
How many years had slipped by since he last saw his dedicated secretary? The thought gnawed at him. He knew he had to keep this discovery hidden from Sam; the last thing he wanted was to rush things and jeopardize the advantage he'd uncovered.

In another corner of the city, the sharp sound of an alarm shattered the silence, jolting Suzzy awake. "Someone turn it off!" she groaned, her voice thick with sleep. Memories of a wild night at Erica's club danced in her mind, blended with a strong urge to burrow back under the covers and ignore the world for just a little longer.
Avery sighed as she squinted at her phone through half-closed eyes, wrestling with memories of last night. They had a room in one of the club's suites—an indulgent little escape they often claimed for their girls' nights.
"Oh shit," she blurted out suddenly, eyes widening.
Missed calls from her assistant flooded her screen; today was Saturday, but that didn't mean she was off duty. Somewhere along the way, she'd picked up Alex's workaholic tendencies.
"What is it?" Erica asked as she breezed into the room, mug in hand.
"I'm late for work!" Avery shrieked, the panic rising like a tidal wave.
"Is it Saturday?" Erica raised an eyebrow, incredulity etched on her face.
"She still works on weekends, Erica," Suzzy murmured from the corner, stifling a yawn.
With a rush, they watched Avery dash into the bathroom, urgency propelling her steps. The two friends shrugged their shoulders, sharing a knowing glance before returning to their own lazy Saturday morning plans.
Avery walked her way through the lobby as she spotted her assistant waiting for her.
"Good morning, Miss Avery." Theresa greeted her as she positioned her glasses well.
Avery smiled at her as they made their way to the elevator.
" What is today's schedule?" Avery asked
" You have a meeting with, Mr Mike
Avery furrowed her brows; she didn't remember having a client called Mike.
Avery worked in an interior design company, she made her way through her hard work and became the youngest marketing manager in the company, and now she also deals with special clients.
She is not complaining tho but something doesn't sound right about this Mike.
