This Is Getting Out of Hand

Gu Tian pondered for a moment before asking, "And you? Are you human?"

Sa Ying chuckled softly before replying, "Of course, kid."

Gu Tian remained silent for a moment before continuing, "Can you explain this world or this universe to me?"

But before he could receive an answer, a pitch-black barrier suddenly opened, pulling Shen Ya inside in an instant. Sa Ying's voice echoed with a mysterious laugh, "See you again, kid... if you survive, that is."

Gu Tian watched as Shen Ya's body was swallowed by the darkness without moving, then asked, "Survive… survive what?"

Sa Ying's voice came again. "You wouldn't want to know, but in three years, they will come to your world for sure. Be careful. Though, deep down, I hope you die before then, kid... farewell."

Gu Tian narrowed his eyes as the barrier disappeared, then took a deep breath and immediately turned back to speak with his parents. The information he had just learned only added to his concerns. Not long after, Gu Tian called Lin Yun Tian right away.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the void, a massive ship floated still in the emptiness. The vessel looked worn, bearing deep scratches and severe damage. Inside one of its chambers, Shen Ya was gently placed onto a bed before a man's voice rang out.

"How is your daughter?"

Sa Ying replied in a cold tone, "She's fine."

The man continued, "And what will you do now? Do you plan to take revenge?"

Sa Ying slowly shook her head before responding, "Probably not. I can't enter that universe, and besides... I think that kid is quite dangerous. If I can't kill him now, I believe he'll grow at such an astonishing rate that he might become a threat to me. Just like that bastard. And most importantly, I'm still injured."

The man fell silent for a moment before stepping closer to Shen Ya, using his power to extract something from her body. It was a small black seed, embedded within her without anyone realizing.

Sa Ying narrowed her eyes in suspicion. "What is that?"

The man examined the black seed before speaking, "Seems like some sort of listening device."

Boom!

He crushed the black seed instantly, reducing it to nothing.

At the same time, within Guang Yue's light barrier, Gu Tian watched the scene unfold through his surveillance equipment before letting out a soft chuckle. "Caught already? That was fast."

Gu Long, standing beside him, spoke up. "But we've gathered quite a bit of information, haven't we?"

Guang Yue nodded slightly. "But it's not really useful information…"

The scene shifted back to the floating ship in the void.

Meanwhile, after destroying Gu Tian's surveillance device, the conversation aboard the ship continued.

"So, how was it? Did I act convincingly?"

Sa Ying turned to the man with a weary look. "Stop acting like a fool. You know very well how dangerous that kid is. He even managed to implant something inside my daughter's body without me noticing. But I have to thank him. Because of that, I was able to retrieve my daughter without using too much power."

The man let out a soft laugh. "So what will you do next?"

Sa Ying sighed. "Nothing at all. You already know that those monsters are coming to this universe. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone to retrieve my daughter. The destruction of this universe... it's only a matter of time."

Just then, a hurried voice called out in panic. "Elder Shang! This is bad! They're getting close!"

Elder Shang, who had been conversing with Sa Ying moments ago, immediately turned around. His expression grew tense before he nodded and spoke firmly, "Then let's move out."

As soon as his words fell, the massive ship opened a vast dimensional portal in the void before swiftly vanishing into it.

Back at Guang Yue's light barrier, the voices from the ship went silent, leaving behind an unsettling mystery.

Gu Long furrowed his brows before speaking. "Them? Who are they?"

Guang Yue also nodded in agreement before adding, "For them to be in such a hurry, whatever is chasing them must be incredibly powerful… or even life-threatening."

Gu Tian had placed more than one listening device inside Shen Ya's body. He remained silent for a moment, then spoke. "The signal is gone now… which means they've traveled so far that I can't track them anymore, or they realized there was a listening device and deliberately fed us false information again."

Upon hearing Gu Tian's thoughts, both Guang Yue and Gu Long fell into contemplation. However, after pondering for a moment, Gu Tian suddenly chuckled. "Hahaha… this is a huge gamble. It's all or nothing. But I do enjoy taking risks."

Gu Long and Guang Yue exchanged glances before chuckling softly. Guang Yue then asked, "Does the original plan need any changes?"

Gu Tian nodded before replying in a firm tone. "I think we're racing against time now. Whether what they said was true or a lie, as long as we have enough strength, we'll be able to handle any problem."

Gu Long and Guang Yue smiled slightly before looking at their son. They said nothing more but nodded in agreement.

Not long after, they prepared to head home. But just as Guang Yue's protective barrier dispersed, Gu Tian suddenly remembered that there were still three people left—the bodyguards of Shen Ya and the professor from the War Thunder University.

Gu Tian furrowed his brows in thought for a moment before deciding that the three of them had to be eliminated. Shen Ya had brought them along, which meant they were the ones she trusted most. If they were allowed to live, they could become a threat in the future. And right now, there was no longer any reason to keep them alive.

Gu Tian didn't hesitate. He found a way to justify their deaths, framing it as the work of the Radiant Sun Organization, just like the staged assassination of the Meng family's people before this.

After taking care of everything, Gu Tian and his parents immediately left the private lounge. However, they soon noticed two people walking toward them, with Wu Shuang standing behind them.

Gu Tian immediately focused on the two figures, and their information automatically appeared before his eyes.
