Chapter 351: The Swiftly Concluded Battle

Returning to the battlefield in the new Mobile Suit, He Kui felt as if he had come back to life.

Especially with the Scale-type Motor, he moved through the water like a fish in water.

"What is your mission objective?"

"Disrupt the enemy's command system, and ideally destroy their command ship."

Cagalli quickly said while nestled in He Kui's arms.

"That sounds difficult. The enemy's overall commander should be on that black Archangel."

"Not sure yet, but it's very likely."

"Mm."

As they spoke, the Forbidden had already engaged Kira's Astray.

However, Kira, thanks to the high mobility provided by the Ootori Striker Pack behind him, was locked in a fierce battle with the Forbidden.

Meanwhile, He Kui could clearly see the Dominion.

Although the other two main Mobile Suits were gone, there were still quite a few Wing Pack Dagger series and Raider Strikers providing escort around.

There were likely many more lurking beneath the water.

Moreover, judging by the structure of the Dominion, it should also be equipped with a light shield.

With close combat impossible to break through and long-range attacks ineffective, it was essentially an aerial fortress.

Seeing that a direct assault was unfeasible, He Kui decisively began to move deeper underwater.

"Where are we going?"

Cagalli asked curiously, her tension evident.

"There are Neutron Jammers here. Even if the overall commander is present, there will always be a hierarchical communication system. We just need to find the secondary command ship."

"I understand, but there's interference here!"

Could an ordinary person locate a secondary command ship amidst such chaotic signals?

"I found it."

He Kui quickly provided an answer to Cagalli.

"Huh?"

To Cagalli, it seemed he had merely pressed a couple of buttons on the screen, and she couldn't even understand the data flow displayed.

In reality, He Kui was using the computational power of his entire base to push out the intelligence system.

"Trust me."

"..."

Cagalli felt a moment of confusion upon hearing He Kui's words.

It was as if she heard the voice she sometimes missed on lonely nights.

"How is that possible?"

After muttering this in her heart, Cagalli looked back at the screen.

"Let's give it a try."

Her voice unconsciously carried a hint of trust.

"Mm."

He Kui responded and charged forward.

Their secondary command ship was not far away; after all, based on the signal propagation, the secondary ship had to be located closer to Orb, near the Dominion.

At this moment, He Kui maneuvered the Mobile Suit, leaving an inconspicuous trace in the water, like a giant in the deep blue sea, heading straight for the enemy submarine.

Of course, there were still guards present, a small squad of six Dagger series Forbidden, significantly fewer than those near the Dominion.

This was still within an acceptable range for He Kui.

The armament of this Mobile Suit was similar to that of the original Scale-type system.

Two small physical knives.

Two on each arm and leg, capable of neutralizing the vibrations from Sonic Cannon attacks with Scale-type Armor.

In his hand was a Supercavitating Torpedo Gun, equipped with six Super High-Speed Torpedoes.

Of course, one hand was already missing.

The armament was limited, but these Dagger series Forbidden only had one additional Sonic Cannon, so the performance gap was not significant, especially considering He Kui's elite Red Uniform status; it wasn't too much of a problem.

"Enemy aircraft ahead, it's an assault!"

"What's going on? Why were we detected?!"

The commander, who thought he was safely fishing, panicked upon hearing the subordinate's report.

However, no one could answer that question.

"Have the escort team protect us, and get the neighboring squad to provide support quickly."

The commander, facing reality, maintained his composure and began issuing orders.

"Understood!"

Everyone responded and began to carry out their tasks methodically; even in fear, they could only comply.

"Six units... Do you have confidence?"

Seeing the Forbidden spread out to encircle them, Cagalli asked.

It would have been fine under normal circumstances, but now Rouge Strike was missing an arm.

"No problem."

From the looks of it, these Mobile Suits only had the strength of a typical Red Uniform.

And his marksmanship, even underwater, was unaffected.

The torpedo gun in his hand fired rhythmically.

With each shot, one of the enemy Mobile Suits exploded.

Six torpedoes, just enough for the six Dagger series.

Without any delay, He Kui swiftly approached the submarine.

He discarded the out-of-ammo torpedo gun, and with precision, his knife plunged into the submarine's power section, then quickly withdrew.

In less than a minute from discovery to attack, He Kui had destroyed the enemy's secondary command ship with lightning speed.

Cagalli, who witnessed everything, was still in shock, staring blankly at him.

Without command, the soldiers ahead began to show signs of confusion, but with the battleship still in the rear, no one dared to retreat.

"The secondary battleship has been destroyed."

He Kui sheathed his knife while retreating and reminded her.

In reality, although he acted quickly, the consumption was significant; he had already exhausted the six torpedoes.

At this point, without long-range attack capabilities, his strength would rapidly decline.

This Mobile Suit was primarily designed for close combat, and while his melee skills were elite level, they paled in comparison to the pinpoint accuracy of weaker opponents.

"Ah!"

Finally snapping back to reality, Cagalli quickly continued.

"Then let's contact the Archangel first."

"Do you have a battle plan?" He Kui asked curiously.

After all, taking out the command ship was hardly a battle plan.

"We do."

Cagalli said this and then fell silent.

"Alright."

He shrugged, and He Kui brought Cagalli back to the waters beneath the Archangel.

Under the massive shadow of the Archangel, illuminated by the sun, they reestablished communication.

"Cagalli, didn't you retreat?" Director Erica frowned.

"We have destroyed the Federation's secondary command ship."

Cagalli said, sending the identification number of the recently destroyed submarine to the Archangel.

"What?"

Upon hearing this, the others present were stunned.

After all, they knew Cagalli's capabilities.

It was impossible for her to accomplish this alone.

"Do you have someone next to you?" Erica quickly thought of something, her frown deepening.

"Yes, there's a mercenary."

Cagalli paused but still did not reveal Aegis's identity.

She had seen Aegis's combat power; for the sake of Orb, she still needed Aegis's strength.

Moreover, He Kui had brought this helper, so Cagalli unconsciously felt a bit more trust towards Aegis.

"A mercenary?"

"Yes, hello, Director Erica."

He Kui replied calmly, his voice alone revealing no appearance, keeping his identity concealed.

Hearing this, Erica's lips twitched slightly, and her gaze met Murrue's; they quickly nodded at each other.

In such a short time, a secondary command ship had been taken out, indicating an elite-level mercenary.

Whoever the other party was, they were now in a Mobile Suit;

if they intended to harm Cagalli, they would have acted long ago.

Such powerful combat strength could be advantageous.

Though puzzled, now was not the time for detailed inquiries.
