Chapter 2: Lady Grim

Is this.. some sort of heaven?.. I ask myself.

Having my thoughts echo through the atmosphere involuntarily.

Hmm, that is a common question around here. But not this is not the place you call heaven.

A voice answered and echoed, I looked around, no one was there.. "Who are you.." no more importantly, "Where are you?.."..

Chapter 2: Lady Grim

[Part: Suspicious request]

I am Lady Grim, you're at a dimension known as Roteris.

"Lady Grim?.. like the Grim Reaper?" I asked curiously.

Hmm.. I don't know about Grim Reaper. I am a Bound Being, this is the dimension of the Gates.

Suddenly, I felt the ground shake vigorously and I fell backwards. Two gigantic gates appeared before me, they were both covered in crawling vines. They were both colored a pastel shade of Blue.

These are the Gates, choose between the two Gates and your fate shall be decided.

"By my fate, what do you mean exactly?" I asked, cautious and curious. I mean, I'm not that well versed in terms of things like this, actually I'm not in any way versed in this topic what so ever! It sounds risky to me..

Where you will end up of course, in the kingdom of Rest or Suffering.

So heaven or hell.. I thought to myself. But I genuinely thought that we were supposed to not be able to decide this.. It depends on our actions during the time of when we were alive right?.. or am I completely wrong. Silence fills the atmosphere as, she, so called Lady Grim seems to be in deep thought. Her presence is radiating through but she remains silent. I stand there awkwardly.

But, it seems there can be another path for you...

Lady Grim says in an unsure tone. Making me wonder what other path is she talking about. "Another path?.. Why do you make it sound like an unusual thing?" I then ask.

Because it seems you can still serve a purpose.. well then, I guess it is not yet your time.

The news got me excited, thinking I can go back and see my baby and husband. The ground shook vigorously once again and the Gates disappeared underground. I held my foot firm on the ground, trying hard to keep balance. "So does that mean I can go back to Earth!?" I ask excitedly, completely ignoring the vigorous rumbling earlier on.

Not necessarily, you will be sent to travel the whole Galaxia. You see there is a prophesized ominous danger approaching, and it seems you are the solution to that.

Ominous danger?.. It sounds dangerous, and definitely does not sound like I'd be able to see my family any time soon. "What? That sounds like a lot of responsibility. I.. I don't know if I can-" She cut me off and spoke aloud.

You have no choice. Neither any of us Bound Beings are capable of communication amongst the micro beings of each dimension. We are only capable of doing such here in Roteris and Sypsis.

Excuse me- MICRO!? I thought appalled by her description. "Wait I'm Curious, what exactly is a Bound being?"

Well I am glad you ask, Bound Beings are the first and strongest beings Born to continue Creation. We were Born and Made by Nymph, The Mother of the Galaxia before her death. You see, she was a strong creator, who made various of Universes inside what she calls the Galaxia. But her sister Nyx destroyed everything and Created Creatures and planets of her own, as she calls it. In a shared area of Galaxia which Nymph gifted her with. In which she named the Tadious or Milky way completely considering it as a separate from Galaxia. It is where your planet Earth exists.

We were made by Nymph with the last of her power in order to protect the Galaxia. Nyx was full of jealousy and envy, due to her sisters success in Creation. The Great sisters Nymph and Nyx were the first to exist in this world, we have no idea of their origin or whatsoever but they are how this world of the living exists. Nymph is now forever lost in a place unknown, as far as I've heard from Mother, Litheanne the Keeper of Time-

Mother?.. I wasn't looking for a historical recap but I'm now intrigued. I thought to myself.

-Nymph's creation before death, Nymph died due to her reaching the limit for her powers. Mother said it takes billions of years before Nymph's powers were to fully restore, and since she used a lot to Create the Galaxia she was at a limit, and due to her sisters destruction she had to recreate everything all over again. She created Litheanne to keep watch over Galaxia and ensure the safety of her creations. Nyx was said to have come to deeply regret the loss of her sister overtime and have sealed herself somewhere unknown.

"If Bound Beings were so powerful, why am I needed?.." I ask confused, they seem all knowing, ancient, well versed and extremely powerful. They are practically the source of all life. So what can a mere human like me do to help?

We were created only for a specific purpose, which we cannot stray far from. So our only solution is to create another being, with the purpose of saving the entire Galaxia and Milky way from the ominous end that is destined upon them. If it were to continue it will be the end of all Beings and creation, we Bound Beings can only create life but not planets or dimensions like the Great sisters could.

"So, I will be recreated in order to fulfill that purpose?" I ask as I slowly get a proper grasp of the dire situation

Yes, I don't think I am speaking in a difficult manner. So I am not so sure what is so hard to understand.

Okay.. attitude. I thought bitterly, and that bitter thought embarrassingly echoes around. "Let me give it some thought for a moment.

I did also say you don't have a choice, you are the only one who can fulfill this role.

Unbothered, I thought to myself. If I don't do this my family, my husband and my son will be in danger... Maybe this way, I can fulfill my role as his mother indirectly. I can watch over him, and protect him from what is coming. Once again my thoughts echo. "Alright, I'm doing it"

Great walk along that path and Demetris shall be able to connect with you.

She instructs as a bright yellow path appears Infront of me. "O..kay, more mysterious people.." I mumble. Sigh...let's get this over with.

[Part: Second Chances]

Well, to whom do I owe the pleasure?

A Feminine Velvety voice greeted, the voice echoing through the atmosphere. "My name is Raya, I was sent here by Lady Grim. To be Recreated.." I trail off, finding the word unfitting. "Reborn.. as I am apparently chosen for a mission to save Galaxia." I finish.

Indeed you are, I trust my sister has told you all the details you wish to be enlightened of?

"Yes.." I say with a tone of confidence, as I feel my chest pound. I feel nervous, anxious, fearful.. What if I can't really do this? What if I fail? So many lives lie in the palms of my hand as of this moment. What I don't make the right decisions?.. I trail off in thought completely forgetting my thoughts can be heard in this unusual dimension.

Well those are indeed some possible outcomes, and valid questions. But at the end of the day, it depends on your best judgement. In which was said to be trusted either way. Now, after we finish recreating you, you will be given a list of people with location and you must find them and convince them to fight for the sake of everything that is existing as of now. Do what you must, disguise yourself, or whatsoever. Your goal is to persuade and succeed in doing so.

Sounds easy enough I thought to myself.

Well, they are not the easiest people to convince, or even come in contact with. But I admire your confidence. As of now your name with no longer be Raya, you will be known as Reida. You will be Reborn as a Shifter, you can transform into anyone and create portals leading to your desired dimensions or planets. That should aide you during your journey. Before you leave, I am Demetris, known around here as the Galaxian Mother. Til the next time, Reida and welcome to Sypsis.

"Reida.." I mumble before a bright light engulfed me. The bright light slowly disappeared and I find myself laying on grass, an unusual feeling of unfamiliarity takes over me. I'm in a place of which looks like a forest, at first I thought I was Reborn on Earth, but as unusual creatures came to view. I began to understand I am in a place furthest from the forests in earth.

I then slowly try to sit up, feeling out of place. Like a snail that has changed shells, I feel as if my soul is physically detached from the body I'm currently on and is just floating inside it. This'll surely take a while of getting used to.. I thought to myself.

I stand up, taking my first few steps in this body. Feeling like an infant learning how to walk.. My legs wobble and I struggle to hold my balance, I wear a mid length white dress that reaches down to my ankles, with off the shoulder slightly puff sleeves. With white ballerina-like shoes that has a plain white bow on top. I see a folded piece of clothing beside me, as I unfold i find it's a long black cloak with a red velvet color as an under.

I take a glance at myself, tilting my head downwards as I hold the cloak, I'm still in a human body, just more supernatural I guess.. My hair catches my attention as it falls over my shoulder, copper colored, wavy and reaches my jaw.

I wear the cloak as a source of temporary warmth for the cold breezy atmosphere. I walk around looking for a couple of fire wood, or any type of wood they have here to make myself a campfire. I pick up twigs and form myself a small campfire that will hopefully invite a level of warmth. As I walk around once more I see a large sharp stone and a thick branch that has fallen. I grab a vine drooping from a tree, I get another stone and aim to sharper the larger one, I then proceed to make myself a worthy spear.

A human?.. a voice of what sounds to be a girl mumbles. I flinched and look around cautiously as I grab onto my spear almost immediately. I see nothing but a couple of odd looking deers, odd as in they look like deers but they have a few odd characteristics. For example the deer Infront of me has spots in it's body which glows as the moonlight shines upon it's body, and it's eyes are a color of indigo with a hint of blue.

How are you here? The voice asks, I turn to look around for a moment once again. I asked a question, then for some reason it just began to click, the voice.. is close. Unbelievably close, I stare at the eyes fo the deer creeping towards me as I grip onto my spear. You're quite rude aren't you? Or are you just completely oblivious to this dimension?..

I remain silent as my eyes widen, realizing the deer was the source of the voice. The deer was speaking to me, very clearly as well. I'm guessing both or just the second one.

"T-the second one..?" I responded in a confused way, stuttering, as I analyze all the possibilities of how or why this is happening. Even i try to reason and say it's a dream, but with everything that just happened that I doubt. I see.. you kind of stand out in this place don't you. "I guess I do.. " I answer completely mistrustful of my surroundings.

I'm guessing you're the new Arrival from our Galaxian Mother, Reida perhaps?

"Yes.. Reida. And you are?" I ask curious, Penelope, I know you must find it unusual how a deer is speaking. I'll explain briefly, this is a dimension of Reincarnation or souls. Where lost or regretful souls travel, and aim to find peace. I am a reincarnation, I was to say.. sinful during my life as a human, I am reborn as a certain creature to re experience life until I no longer live a sinful life and prove to have been purified. After my journey here, I shall return to Roteris, where you can from and choose the Gates guided by a renewed deep sense of self.

Wow, that's a lot to take in.. Seems there is still so many things I have yet to discover outside Earth. A whole lot it seems like.. I think to myself.

"Nice to meet you then Penelope, may I ask how are you aware of my arrival?" I ask, curious of how she was informed about me or atleast why. It seems suspicious for me, but I am all ears.

I am here assigned to give you assistance during your mission. First mission for you, is to go to Earth, a remote hidden village known as Moktu. You are ordered to persuade Zara Sphinx and Kaiden Withara, the only difficulty is you must convince them to work together or find benefit with each other's company. They haven't met, but after a few days of your preparation here, once you arrive they are already set to meet. Said to not grow very fond of each other at first, so you must have them get along. They are stronger together.

Sigh, okay.. let's do this. I sigh internally and prepare myself mentally. Although still unsure how to approach, or how to even begin preparing for this. I know I have to do my best, my family is my reason and that's all I need.
