Luciel's eyes snapped open as he gasped for air.

He quickly sat up, hysterically checking his surroundings while trying to catch his breath, but his vision was blurry, the only thing he could see was his Qi bar depleting rapidly.

He could hear a familiar male voice calling out to him, but he couldn't focus on it. Only one thing was occupying his mind.

Luciel blinked a few times, waiting for his vision to clear up.

The first thing that came into his vision was Alex who wore an anxious expression on his face.

Luciel's eyes started to glow vibrant red at the excruciating hunger. He was aware of everything, but no matter how much he tried not to think about it, his friend was nothing but a snack.
