Chapter 6 : Present and Future

With these thoughts, Isamu sat quietly in his room and began meticulously writing his notes in his notebook.

He was careful to choose his words wisely, abandoning the use of Japanese, which the locals here spoke, and opting for English to ensure that no one could decipher his notes if they were stolen or seen in the future.

These were no ordinary notes. He included subtle references to his deep knowledge of Naruto's future, a secret he had to hide very carefully from everyone, as leaking any of this knowledge could be catastrophic.

From the moment he arrived in this world, Isamu realized that weakness here was considered a deadly sin. The ninja world was unforgiving, and a mistake could be the last thing anyone ever made.

He knew that any abnormal behavior could attract the attention of ninjas trained to read even the slightest differences. These ninjas were masters of illusion and concealment, possessing an incredible ability to detect anything suspicious.

He didn't think that his acting skills, which barely passed when his boss asked him about his work deadlines in his previous world, would save him if suspicion fell on him.

As for being under the protection of the Uchiha clan, Isamu worried inwardly, "The clan might be the first to bring out torture weapons to extract information if they believe my being has taken over the body of one of their children."

A sense of danger deepened in his mind. Suspicion alone could be enough to turn his life into a nightmare. There was no place for mercy, and every step had to be carefully planned.

Reflecting on the harshness of this world, Isamu thought, "This is a world without limits. Children fight from the age of six or seven and can join battlefields before they turn ten as long as they have the ability."

The world he found himself in was brutal and bloody. Here, children possessed the ability to kill before they reached the age of ten, and they found themselves on the battlefield at a young age. Isamu knew that characters like Kakashi had already killed many enemies while still only twelve years old. This world was unforgiving, and any weakness meant certain death.

Upon learning that Hashirama Senju had died the previous year and Tobirama Senju had taken over as the Second Hokage, founding the Ninja Academy and the village's police force with the Uchiha clan in charge of it, Isamu was fully aware of what was to come next.

From his knowledge of the original story, he remembered that the death of the First Hokage led to increased tensions between the hidden villages, sparking the conflicts that led to the First Great Ninja War.

It was the first war that the shinobi world would know, and Isamu wasn't sure whether the village would return to using children in wars as the clans had done before when facing significant threats. For him, entering the Ninja Academy in six months meant the beginning of a perilous path that could constantly threaten his life.

He knew that graduating at twelve wasn't guaranteed, and he might be forced to graduate early, which would send him into a series of dangerous missions that could end his life at any moment.

As for the idea of Isamu abandoning the Ninja Academy or the path of the ninja altogether to try and avoid altering future events, it was impossible.

There were several reasons for this, the first being his knowledge of the butterfly effect, which he had learned in his previous life.

He understood that any step, no matter how small, could have a massive impact on the sequence of events, meaning he couldn't rely on things proceeding as they had in the original story.

Moreover, Isamu didn't recall any details about the original owner of his body in the Naruto story, meaning he might have died in an unnoticed battle or lived as a background character until his death during the Uchiha clan massacre.

"That's an unacceptable future," Isamu thought resolutely. Surrendering to a vague fate or accepting a marginal life was not an option for him now.

Giving up the path of the ninja was completely out of the question. Even though the ninja profession seemed far more dangerous than others, Isamu knew very well that ninjas in this world possessed extraordinary powers.

Their ability to easily take the lives of ordinary people made ninjas an essential part of the power structure, and no one could stop them except other ninjas. So, if he didn't want to fall under the mercy of others, he had to walk this path.

The path of the ninja was his only option for survival, and the Ninja Academy was the best platform where he could receive proper training and guidance, especially since he was an orphan.

Isamu was fully aware of the difficulties he would face, but he was determined to develop his Sharingan and unlock its hidden potential. However, he was extremely cautious about revealing his awakened Sharingan to his clan at this age.

Looking at himself in the mirror, he returned to his thoughts. "I can't reveal my cards too soon," he thought deeply. The idea of being considered a prodigy might seem attractive, but it carried more problems than benefits.

The Uchiha clan was a warlike ninja clan that dealt harshly with its members, and revealing the Sharingan at this age would turn him into a tool for the village, potentially used in dangerous missions and exposing him to enemy attacks.

Isamu understood that the Sharingan wasn't just a blessing; it could also be a curse. Displaying his strength at the wrong time would bring harsher training, more dangerous missions, and possibly make him a target for the clan's and the village's enemies.

"I'm not really a child," Isamu reminded himself, reflecting on his thoughts. He didn't blindly follow the "Will of Fire" slogans or the fake chants glorifying genius. So he decided to play the role of an ordinary ninja in the future, fitting in with his status as a child of the Uchiha clan.

He planned to show strength that aligned with this status, without drawing too much attention, while keeping his true abilities hidden for use when the time was right. Isamu was aware that without enough strength to protect himself, he couldn't afford to take risks.

"I can't take chances. My current level of Sharingan gives me only minimal means of defense," he closed his eyes for a moment, feeling a sense of tension.

He thought, "As for the Mangekyō Sharingan, it's still a distant dream… I haven't even achieved the full Sharingan yet. How can I think of that?"

Feeling a sense of calm, he resumed recording his notes in his notebook. "Achieving that isn't impossible, but it's not possible now. I can't rush this." Confidently, he continued writing in his notebook, determined to document everything he learned.

He knew that the Mangekyō Sharingan required intense emotional triggers or even strong psychological disturbances to stimulate brain chakra and open the eyes. When that happened, the mind would connect to the eyes in a complex way, reshaping the eye chakra and granting the user extraordinary abilities.

Isamu quietly reflected as he looked at his notebook.

"What I can do now is continue training and record the results of my experiments, so I can gather enough data and knowledge." Then, he continued thinking softly as he wrote in his secret notebook:

"Humans didn't reach the moon in my previous life, nor did they build an advanced technological civilization by abandoning everything that seemed difficult or impossible. They achieved it through constant exploration, repeated experiments, accumulation of knowledge, and developing different methods and alternatives."
