The grand hall of the World Organization was unlike anything Cedric had ever seen. The walls shimmered with gold inlays and the finest tapestries from every kingdom, depicting scenes of ancient battles, treaties, and the rise and fall of empires. At the center of it all, seated on a grand dais, was the Queen of the Central Kingdom—the most powerful monarch in the world. Her gaze was sharp, her presence commanding the room as the other kings and queens sat alongside her.
Cedric walked into the chamber, his steps echoing through the room as all eyes turned to him. Dressed in his formal attire, he held an air of confidence and defiance that seemed to unsettle the monarchs. At his side, his hand casually gripped a goblet of wine, the deep crimson liquid swirling lazily as he made his way to the center of the room.
The murmurs of the gathered leaders ceased as the Queen of the Central Kingdom raised her hand. Her voice was regal, cold, and authoritative.
"Lord Cedric of Arcadia," she began, her gaze fixed on him. "We are well aware of your... recent actions. You have killed the king of Arcadia, you've destabilized your own kingdom, and yet here you stand before us, untouched."
Cedric's eyes flicked to her, his face unreadable as he took a slow sip of his wine.
The Queen continued, her voice growing sharper. "It is clear to us that you have the ambition to rise, but your recklessness will not go unchecked. The World Organization will not tolerate a rogue force disrupting the balance we have maintained for centuries."
There was a pause before another monarch, the King of the Eastern Isles, spoke up. "We have a proposition for you, Cedric. Become king of Arcadia. We will support your claim, but in return, you will serve us. You will follow our orders, our vision for this world."
Cedric remained silent, his gaze drifting over the faces of the assembled leaders. Their confidence was almost amusing. They believed themselves untouchable, believing they could manipulate him like a puppet on strings. He took another sip of wine, his calm demeanor unnerving the room.
The Queen of the Central Kingdom leaned forward, her eyes narrowing. "Your actions may have impressed some, but make no mistake—this room holds the true power in this world. You may have killed a king, but we control the devils. We control the fate of nations. If you resist us, you will be crushed."
The hall fell into a tense silence, the air thick with anticipation. Cedric, still holding his goblet, set it down gently on a nearby table, the sound of the glass touching the surface ringing out in the vast room.
He straightened and let out a slow breath before speaking, his voice calm yet laced with venom. "You speak of control as if you've already won."
The leaders exchanged confused glances, their brows furrowing. Cedric smiled darkly and stepped forward, his presence now looming over the room. "You think because you've hidden behind your titles, your power, and your little puppets—the devils—that you are invincible. You believe you can control me, but you have made a grave mistake."
His eyes locked onto the Queen of the Central Kingdom, his voice steady, yet with an edge that sent a chill through the room. "You went after my fiancée."
The Queen's expression faltered, but she remained silent, waiting for Cedric to explain.
"You didn't go after me. No, you targeted the woman I care about. And not because of political reasons, or threats to your power. You did it because a few of you—kings and queens—coveted her beauty, her presence."
Cedric's gaze turned icy. "You wanted her for yourselves. And for that, I declare war."
Before anyone could react, Cedric lifted his hand slightly. In an instant, every king in the room—the ones who had conspired against him—began to gasp for air. Their eyes widened in shock as they clutched at their throats, their bodies convulsing violently. The Queen of the Central Kingdom stood abruptly, her eyes widening in horror as she watched the kings die before her eyes.
Cedric's voice cut through the chaos, his tone calm and measured. "You control the devils, yes. But I learned to control them too. I learned their tricks, their methods. And now... I have taken your power from you."
The kings crumbled to the floor, their lifeless bodies sprawled across the chamber. Panic spread among the remaining leaders, the queens and princesses standing frozen in shock, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
As Cedric took another step forward, he added, "And just like I've killed your kings, I've taken care of their heirs. Every son, every future king you thought you could control... is dead. The assassins I hired made sure of it."
Gasps of horror rippled through the room as the truth of his words sank in. Cedric glanced at the queens and princesses, his expression one of chilling indifference.
"I've wiped out your lineages. Your power is crumbling, just as I intended."
The Queen of the Central Kingdom stood frozen, her fists clenched. "You... you dare—"
Cedric cut her off with a cold laugh. "Oh, I dare. And If dare to die here then my devils will dare to take your remaining daughters along with you. You should have known better than to challenge me. You think yourselves gods, rulers of the world, but you're just mortals. And mortals fall."
He walked toward the exit, his back turned to the horrified leaders. As he reached the door, he paused and looked over his shoulder one last time.
"I sparked you and your daughters, because they and you weren't part of this. But make no mistake—I have no problem ending them too if you force my hand. And I do accept your proposal but instead of me, make Seraphina The Queen Of Arcadia. This is what you all discussed in The meeting and as for the king's death. Spread it like a disease, i already made sure to wipe criminals around my kingdom for evidence You do yours. Say yes."
I said it with a calm voice as The Queen Of Central Kingdom looked At me with shocked but rageful eyes.
"Yes."
"Alright then, And later Seraphina found a antidote of it. You will announce that along with her croronation. It will solidify the reasons for her to become the queen. And announce it in Arcadia very soon I will be waiting but remember not for long or I will have to visit you in this kind of meeting again."
With that, Cedric left the grand chamber, the door slamming shut behind him. The world had changed in an instant, and he was no longer just a player in the game. He had become something far more dangerous—a force that could bring even the most powerful to their knees.
And the World Organization, the so-called rulers of the world, had just been reminded that their power was nothing compared to the fury of a man with nothing to lose.
