Chapter 264: Is He Even Human?!

"Win… we won? We actually won!!"

Midoriya stared in shock at their homeroom teacher, Aizawa, who now had his right hand cuffed and his uniform burned through at the abdomen. He muttered to himself, his expression shifting from disbelief to growing excitement.

To be honest, he felt like he was on an amusement park roller coaster, his emotions rising and falling so dramatically that it was as if he had been launched from the depths of a valley straight into the sky.

Outside the exam site, most of the students who heard the announcement wore stunned expressions. After all, the opponents Midoriya and Bakugo had faced weren't just any teachers but their very own homeroom instructor, Aizawa Shota—the teacher they had interacted with the most and knew best.

Among all the teachers participating in the exam, aside from All Might, Aizawa undoubtedly left the strongest impression on them.

Just picturing their strict and intimidating teacher narrowing his eyes in that way of his was enough to send a chill down their spines!

At that moment, Kaminari was the only one left in the waiting room. Shoto Todoroki had already left a few minutes ago, he had said everything that needed to be said and now needed some time alone to clear his mind.

"So Bakugo and the others passed their exam, huh? That means the next match should be Uraraka-chan and Aoyama against Thirteen."

Kaminari sat at a simple white plastic table, muttering to himself before shaking his head and turning his attention back to the light blue screen in front of him. He had no real interest in going to watch the match in person.

Thirteen's Quirk, Black Hole, sounded both noble and terrifying.

It was said that there wasn't even a physical body inside Thirteen's space suit, only an endlessly dark void.

What made it so frightening was that anything caught in its pull would be instantly broken down and sucked into the black hole, vanishing completely.

And "anything" meant exactly that, whether it was air, light, steel, or stone, no matter how hard the material, it would disintegrate upon contact!

However, from what Kaminari had gathered, Thirteen typically only used Black Hole in a controlled manner, activating it through their fingertips to avoid causing excessive damage. This meant its suction range and strength weren't too overwhelming.

That was exactly why Kaminari wasn't interested in watching the exam, he could already imagine how it would play out, and honestly, it seemed kind of boring.

As for the screen in front of him, it was being projected by the small device he called "Pikachu" on the table. The content displayed was far more exciting.

On the screen, Kaminari now in his "high-voltage shock" state was engaged in a fierce battle against All Might in the middle of a city. From an outsider's perspective, it looked like a duel between a "Super Saiyan" and the Symbol of Peace!

But upon closer inspection, it was clear that the so-called "Super Saiyan" was at an absolute disadvantage. He was constantly forced on the defensive, retreating while fighting back.

Both combatants moved at incredible speeds, appearing as two streaks of golden light chasing each other, their clashes leaving destruction in their wake. No matter where they went, buildings and construction sites ended up in ruins.

"So even with my current strength, all I can do is barely hold my own against an all-out All Might, huh?"

Kaminari frowned, deep in thought, as he watched the scene unfold. A moment later, his simulated self in the battle was knocked down once again, completely exhausted.

Again.

Why again?

Because this was already the fifth battle result simulated by Pikachu. And every single time, he had lost in almost the exact same way.

After Todoroki left, Kaminari had instructed Pikachu to gather all available battle data on All Might from the internet and generate a virtual version of him.

Then, using Pikachu's powerful AI and computing abilities, he ran simulated battles between himself and this virtual All Might to analyze the outcome.

Well, based on the current results, there was no hope of winning in a head-on fight.

The only silver lining was that in this latest simulation, he managed to hold out for several minutes before being defeated.

That was because, before running this fifth simulation, Kaminari had specifically instructed Pikachu to "focus entirely on evasion and drawing out the battle instead of engaging head-on."

In the previous attempts, he had overestimated his own capabilities, and the fights had only lasted around five minutes at best before he was completely overwhelmed.

"This guy is basically a Superman who just doesn't have laser vision. Every punch he throws is absurdly powerful, and his body is so ridiculously durable that he can catch a railgun blast with his bare hands?!"

Even though Kaminari had already complained about this countless times in his mind, he still couldn't help but ask himself again was All Might even human?

Especially considering that, in these simulations, he wasn't just relying on his own electrical abilities. He also had the support of both Pikachu and Golden Sand.

This was, by all means, the strongest version of himself.

"...But it's not like I didn't learn anything from this."

At the very least, according to the simulation data, this virtual All Might didn't seem to possess Clark Kent's kind of super hearing, he couldn't pick up sounds beyond the speed of sound, nor could he detect someone's voice from another country.

More importantly, he lacked any sort of enhanced perception abilities.

He also didn't have super intelligence like the principal's Quirk, High Spec.

"Maybe… I can use that to my advantage."

Kaminari shifted his gaze away from the screen, looking out the window at the bright blue sky and drifting white clouds, lost in thought.

Even though he had already decided to avoid fighting All Might head-on, there was still a part of him that was tempted. After all, this was All Might!

This might be his one and only chance to experience what it was like to fight the strongest hero in the world.

Watching a simulation on a screen was one thing, but actually going up against him in real life? That was completely different.

At that moment, the school's broadcast system played another announcement, the practical exam match between Uraraka Ochaco and Aoyama Yuga against Thirteen had begun.

Their designated exam site was a fairly ordinary urban district.

"So, Aoyama-kun, have you come up with a battle plan?" Uraraka asked, looking a little exasperated as she watched Aoyama approach with his usual model-like stride.

"Hmm…" Aoyama tapped his chin in thought for a moment before his eyes suddenly lit up. He raised a finger and smiled confidently.

"It's quite simple!

You know some hand-to-hand combat, don't you? You rush in and engage Thirteen directly, while I provide cover fire with my laser from a distance.

Then, in the end, you can just capture them!

Thirteen isn't particularly suited for close combat, and the super-compressed weights they're wearing will limit their movements!"

"Eh…?"

Hearing Aoyama's plan, Uraraka tilted her head in confusion. "That… sort of makes sense, but…"

She glanced at Aoyama, who was looking quite pleased with himself, and sighed.

"But you're seriously planning to hide behind me while I fight up front? Does that sound right to you?"

"There's no helping it," Aoyama replied with a chuckle, flipping his hair dramatically. "Our Quirks are just built this way."

"Fine, fine! Let's go with that, then!" Uraraka shook off her complaints, pumped her fists, and steeled her resolve.

"I have to pass this exam!"

Not just for her parents but also because she refused to fall behind Midoriya-kun!

She knew he was watching her from the monitoring room.

"Uraraka Ochaco and Aoyama Yuga, practical exam—ready, go!"
