Kevin Bell arrived in Capital City last night and finally managed to get a taxi to Hot Spring Villa, hoping to see Zoe Bell, but was stopped by the security at the gate. Now, with a fawning expression and a limp, he approached the car, "Thank you, really, thank you."

"No problem, are you really Mrs. Hale's father?" Celine Payne eyed him.

A smile tugged at her lips, yet her eyes were filled with disdain.

"I am her foster father."

"It's about a forty to fifty-minute walk from here to the mountain resort. Get in, I'll take you," Celine said with a smile.

"Thank you so much, you are so kind."

Kevin Bell couldn't wait to get into the car.

"Do you know my daughter?" he asked carefully.

"Who doesn't know Mrs. Hale," Celine chuckled softly, "I just thought she didn't have any living relatives since she said she was an orphan."

Kevin's face shifted subtly, but he kept up a hollow smile.

His reason for coming was simple.

He wanted money!
