CHAPTER 10[PACK ALLIANCES AND ANCIENT GRUDGES]

As the night wore on, Elias and I mingled with the pack, establishing connections and easing tensions. Ryder, however, remained enigmatic, his gaze flicking between Elias and me.

At dinner's end, Catherine invited me to join her for a walk in the gardens. The moonlit path was serene, filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers.

"Sage, I'm glad you're here," Catherine said, her voice low. "Elias has been searching for you for a long time."

"I had no idea," I replied, curiosity piqued.

Catherine's smile hinted at secrets. "He might seem cold but Elias is actually a softie ,he always wanted his mate beside him, he always wanted someone he could risk everything for" Hearing Catherine say this made my heart melt, because I felt the same way I wanted someone I could do everything for.

As we strolled, the shadows seemed to grow longer, casting mysteries across the garden.
