CHAPTER 13 [AFTERMATH]

I woke up the next morning feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Everything was fine at the Moonstone Pack's territory. My dream had been just that – a dream.

Elias and I spent the morning lounging around, watching TV, and enjoying each other's company. But our peaceful morning was shattered by a phone call from Liam.

"Sage, it's Liam," he said, his voice laced with urgency. "I have some terrible news. The Moonstone Pack's territory...it's been attacked. The entire place is in flames."

I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. My dream...it had come true. I couldn't breathe, couldn't speak. Elias took the phone from me, his expression grim.

"What happened?" he asked Liam, his voice firm.

I didn't hear Liam's response. I was too busy trying to process what was happening. The Moonstone Pack...all those people...they were gone. Because of me. About fifty injured and about a hundred werewolves all dead because I hadn't done anything to stop it.
