Chapter 7

**CLASSROOM**

Olivia wanted to laugh, and that led to a cough.

"Are you okay?" asked Peter surprised

"Am fine duh!" Olivia smirked at Peter playfully

"This is where we'll say goodbye Olivia and Peter!" said Jacob suddenly.

"Goodbye guys!" said Olivia and Peter in unison, and Jacob and Anna left together.

"Have you called grandma?" asked Peter all of a sudden

"That's what I want to do now!" replied Olivia checking her bag to bring out her small phone.

Olivia later called her grandmother; she was happy to hear from her.

The doctor told her, her grandma had been responding to treatment. Olivia was joyfully grateful for the good news. She quickly waved Peter goodbye and started heading to Mrs Smith's house.

Inside the kitchen, after she had changed to her causal dress, she was putting on a short gown beneath her knee and the apron on top of the gown. She was about to ask the housekeeper what she would prepare for lunch.

"Excuse me, what am I preparing for lunch?" asked Olivia politely

The housekeeper looked over to her and said softly, "You don't have to prepare anything now, the kids will sort themselves out with junk or anything, and they're grown-up kids..." said the housekeeper softly, and Olivia was quiet. The housekeeper added again and turned to her "And till evening before you will cook anything dear, understood?" said the housekeeper gently.

"Yes ma'am! I..." she was cut off from the sound she heard from the kitchen door. Anita entered the kitchen, she was thrilled to see Olivia. Someone like her age is putting on an apron and holding kitchen utensils. She was fascinated and said

"Is this the new cook?" screamed Anita.

Anita was the second child and only daughter of the Mrs Smith family. She was slenderly beautiful and had a passion for dancing.

This made Mrs Smith's heart sink because she was looking for an heir who would take over the company. Fred was not competent to take over the company because of his waywardness and rudeness. Ben is still young to control the company.

"Yes, Anita!" replied the housekeeper, stunned at her reaction.

Anita hugged Olivia unexpectedly and she said to Olivia "My name is Anita but you can call me Annie because I like you!" she smiled and continued "And what's your name?" asked Annie cheerfully

"My name is Olivia!" replied Olivia gently and she was astonished at Anita's strange behavior. She looked at Anita and she saw the beautiful smile across her face. Olivia was fascinated and she thought to herself inwardly "I've never met someone like this before in my life, friendly at first sight and charming at the same time." said Olivia to herself amazed

"Wow, what a beautiful name!" said Annie smiling face "I must introduce you to my brothers, follow me please!" she said and dragged Olivia's hands softly

Olivia didn't know what to say; she just nodded and said, "Uhmn!" She thought it was a good idea to follow Anita, and she looked over to the housekeeper for help. Mrs Rose just nodded in agreement she could go, and she followed Anita to the sitting room.

The housekeeper was dumfounded for a second and she said to herself "When did Anita start making friends with strangers. Am I dreaming?" she said eyes wide open at Anita's strange attitude "Anita is a fashionista girl, she doesn't like hanging out with low people but it is surprisingly she's making friends with a mere cook! Olivia must be a special girl." she smiled and shrugged it off her mind.

"It's good anyway," she added and continued cleaning the kitchen desk.

Back inside the sitting room, Olivia was standing and Anita was holding her hands like a little toddler. It made Olivia uncomfortable.

"Fred, Ben you guys should come out here, I have got a surprise for you both!" exclaimed Anita clasping hands

Ben was the first person to come out followed by Fred.

"Who's she?" asked Ben. Immediately, he caught sight of Olivia standing beside Anita, and she was putting on an apron with her slippers that looked like a mouse. Ben smiled inwardly and he thought of Olivia being funny

"I think I've seen you before!" said Fred indifferently and he was looking at Olivia contemplating from head to toe. he saw the slippers and he was stunned "Whoa local girl!" he mumbled quietly and laughed

"This is Olivia, our new cook!" declared Anita huge smile across her face

"I know!" said Fred snarky and asked "And is that the reason why you called me?" asked Fred annoyed with his sister's strange attitude

"I didn't know you'd met her, Fred!" replied Anita innocently, and she turned to Olivia sweetly. "Olivia, this Benjamin, we called him Ben, and that's Alfred. We called him Fred..." Fred quickly cut in "It's Alfred, don't never, ever call me Fred understood!" he said jaws clenched

"Fred!" shouted Anita rolling her eyes at Fred

"Yes, Annie, she is not in a position to call me Fred!" replied Fred back at Anita.

"Oh, I got it, you're Alfred, and he's Benjamin," said Olivia suddenly, and Fred was taken aback by her boldness.

"You can call me Ben," said Ben smiling at Olivia.

"Nice to meet you, Ben!" said Olivia, smiling back at Ben.

"Oh please excuse me!" declared Fred irritated and he walked away from their presence

"Oh boring guy," said Anita chuckled

"Let me show you around Olivia," said Ben pleased to see Olivia.

"Yes let's show Olivia around." Agreed on Anita with the idea

"Okay, but I have to drop my apron inside guys," said Olivia gently.

"Bring it! Let me hang it here for you," said Anita friendly.

"Thanks!" said Olivia smiled and she handed the apron to Annie.

"Let's go!" said Annie, and she took Olivia's hands gently, and the three of them went outside. Olivia thought to herself "I have found a new sister!" she chuckled inwardly and smiled happily

Olivia was shown around the house; she was thrilled about the swimming pool she saw in the backyard. The decorations, buildings. She thought to herself and said, "Mrs Smith is a big woman; her taste for decoration is high." She felt good being around the two kids. The Smith family were people who believed in doing good to others.

Ben and Anita had had keen interests in Olivia which was weird. Anita couldn't fathom why she liked Olivia all of a sudden maybe because of her charisma or her beauty. Even Ben was charmed by her too. But there was only one person that was not charmed by Olivia and that was Alfred. Alfred was a different guy from the beginning; everyone knew he was a bad, spoilt guy that doesn't listen to what anyone said to him. He likes doing things on his own. He's a man of his word. He didn't see anything special about Olivia. He sees her like a nerd, an ordinary cook, and a dumb girl, too, which could never be in his standard.

At night, Olivia had finished cooking the meal, and she was asked to join them at the dining table by Mrs Smith. At first, Olivia was a bit uncomfortable eating with them but later felt relaxed when Ben made very good remarks about her meals.

"This food is yummy, Olivia!" said Ben with his mouth full of spaghetti sauce.

"You can say that again," said Anita, chewing the food delightedly, and Olivia smiled brightly.
