The weakest among them found their bodies seized by tremors and paralysis that lasted for days, and in some cases, months. Many never lived to enjoy the return of their movements. Moreover, darkness became a universal fear, etched into their minds, bodies, and souls. From that day onward, no creature dared approach even the faintest shadow. It was as though tendrils from the void were pulling them in, and even their own shadows became unbearable to behold. Thus, everyone spent the days ahead trying to ignore them.
