Aristellus sighed, his fingers tightening slightly on the hilts of his daggers. His gaze followed Gaia's, landing on Cole and the others as they double-checked their gear with a mix of nervous energy and quiet determination. "It's too risky to go alone," he said, his tone calm but edged with a hint of resignation. "Even if I had you with me."

"And bringing a big group? Leaving the town with fewer defenses?" Gaia pressed, raising an eyebrow.
