NALEDI’S POV
I got into the car with Marcus and Korah, who silently gauged me like a ticking time bomb.
“Where is Caellum?” I asked the billion-dollar question.
“The Alpha left as soon as you got the deal with Luka Donatello.”
“As soon as he insulted my intelligence you mean?” I gritted angrily but was met with no answer.
They knew better than to say anything. I mean I was not having a great day and I bet they knew I was just waiting for an opportunity to tip off the bomb that brewed inside me.
The car soon got to the mansion and my heart was tight in fury. One look at the house and I felt like this was a joke. The whole illusion of being independent and trying to earn Caellum’s trust was a big fat joke.
That bit was clear from my interactions with Caellum today.
We got out of the car and I turned towards Marcus. “Unspell me.”
My words were law. Leaving no room for refusal.
“Already did.” My brows perked at his words. “While we were on the way.” He gave context.
