Welcome home, Luna.

NALEDI’S POV

“You know what, maybe I did, maybe I didn’t. I don’t care anymore. He’s dead, so we might as well move on.” I said, taking my seat on a single chair in the living room.

I’d think that my sudden decision to sweep things under the carpet and go a total 360 from my previous disposition would straighten things up, but it only brought further suspicions from Caellum.

“If you didn’t do it, and none of the others did, we might have a major problem on hand.” He said, looking between us.

Marcus and Korah’s gaze settled on me, having cast their lot on who the culprit should be. If I didn’t take responsibility for the death, then I would be inviting Caellum for more digging.

With more digging, came more suspicions and eventually, the little incident from the previous day would be revealed. The last thing I needed was Caellum getting all anxious, worried or suspicious of me.
