One problem at a time

NALEDI’S POV

“What do you suggest we do now?” Korah sounded worried, “What if it’s a trap? We’ll be putting our lives in danger by walking right in.”

“And we don’t have the option of involving the Alpha in our little mission,” Marcel added.

I took in a deep breath, my brain churning with ideas.

“I understand that going in there is a risk, but it’s one I’m willing to take.” They didn’t look convinced. “If Donna’s mother is in danger, then my guess is they’d take her exactly where her daughter is.”

“Think about it, if they found that she disobeyed them, and had been in contact with someone, which they obviously did, hence the ambush, they would like to punish her in the cruellest way possible.”

Marcel did justice to it. “What better way to punish a mother than to make her watch the suffering of her children, knowing it was her fault.” He sounded angry, and so was I.
