Lily's POV
I've messed up.
The sad thing is that I don't need to be told, but merely looking at my father’s face, I can see all of my bad attributes pinned on his reputation.
“Father.”
He keeps mute, giving me cold shoulders.
Acting like he didn't hear a word or me call his name, he looks out the tinted glass, focusing on moving trees.
Luckily, my father came right on time to save me from the reporters, as they looked like they would lynch me from fury.
Managing to get me out of sight and into the safety of his car, we zoomed off.
Without any doubt, I did overstep my boundaries and worst still, acted out of character.
“Father?”
My fragile heart is unable to take his silent treatment for long.
“Lily, we need to get home in one piece.”
He says bluntly.
It's my turn to look away.
Whatever he means by that, is not working for me. I feel so silly like some child throwing tantrums at will.
And then, he called me Lily.
