Chapter 56:- My jerk husband

My legs turned back from the gate after Caroline's carriage completely vanished from my eyes. The joy I found when she arrived had faded away within a moment. The thought of smoothly passing my time in the Dormia shattered down completely. If I had the choice or the power to stop her, I would have.

I thought she would stay here until the day Dormia fell down. She would have stood beside me—witnessing the scene of Dormia's fall. The moment that I imagined with her turned out to be fake. It can't happen. I am also a fool to think that she would stand beside me on that up-coming day.

While going back to the palace, I saw Elsa sitting under a tree where she stopped. I thought she had gone back, but she didn't. She stayed under the tree, waiting for me. She exclaimed with joy and ran toward me. A wind of relief hit her hard. Her expression was the proof.

"Your Majesty!"

"..."

"Did you see her?"
