Heroes of Generation

Introduction 

 In the endless expanse of the unknown, beyond the boundaries of countless universes, a small yet powerful light wandered through the abyss. From the deepest shadows of a forgotten realm, this mysterious light drifted across dimensions, timelines, and cosmic events—seeking a place to rest.

Fate, however, guided it towards an unexpected destination—planet Earth.

On a quiet night, deep in the far east, a lone boy lay in peaceful slumber, unaware of the extraordinary event about to unfold. High above his humble home, the stars flickered for a moment, as if bending to the will of the approaching light. Suddenly, the skies split, and a radiant burst of energy descended from the heavens, crashing into the heart of the boy's world.

As the boy slept, the light found him.

In that instant, the ordinary became extraordinary, and the young boy's life would never be the same again.

Chapter 1: The Journey Begins 

The clock rings loudly. ⏰

"Ughhh! My head hurts! What happened last night?" Juno rubs his temples, struggling to remember the details of a dream that felt too real.

He glances around his room, cluttered with posters of heroic figures from his favorite anime, scattered books on adventure, and sketches he's made of his own fantastical characters. The sun spills through the window, illuminating the chaos.

"Juno? Juno!!" his mother calls from the other room, her voice cutting through his foggy thoughts.

"Yeah, Mom?"

"Wake up! It's already noon; you're going to be late for school again!"

"Ugh, I'm late again. Wait, what's this thing?" He notices a toy window by his bedside, its edges worn from years of play, and squeezes it curiously.

"Argh! Why are you squeezing me? It hurts!" The toy's voice is surprisingly lively, and Juno's eyes widen in shock.

"What?! Who are you? Why are you a talking window? Aaaahhh!" He stumbles back, half-expecting it to be a figment of his imagination.

"Juno? What's all that noise?" his mother asks, sounding concerned.

"Uh, eehhh, nothing, Mom!" He tries to gather himself, glancing at the toy with a mix of disbelief and curiosity.

"Come downstairs; your breakfast is ready!"

"Okay, Mom! Wait…" He grabs the toy window, contemplating the strange event. "You can't stay here; I'll hide you! By the way, what should I call you?"

The toy window hesitates. "Tsk. I don't know. I just woke up here. I don't even know who I am or how I can talk to you."

"Alright, then. From now on, your name will be Tentaru! 

Author's note: in japanese name combination The 'ten' is for 'window,' 'taru' is for 'portal.

"Okay, Tentaru it is," it replies with a hint of resignation.

"Alright, Tentaru! Time to go in my bag!"

Narrator: Juno steps out of his room, the weight of the day settling on his shoulders as he heads toward the kitchen.

"Mom, I'm coming in!"

"Okay!"

As Juno walks through the house, the smell of bacon and eggs fills the air, mingling with the scent of fresh coffee. He runs into his friend Kenshi, who is lounging in the living room.

"Hey, Ken! I didn't know you were here!" Juno smiles, grateful for the company.

"Hey, Juno! How's it going? Let's go together!" Kenshi grins, tossing a slice of toast into his mouth.

At school, Juno can't shake off the thoughts of what happened last night, the strange dream lingering in his mind: 'Tu es electus.' He wonders if it means something significant, but before he can ponder further, the sound of a loud explosion rips through the air.

BAM! BOOOOOOM!!!

Narrator: Panic ensues as the ground shakes, and everyone rushes to see what happened. They find a dark, swirling portal opening in the middle of the schoolyard, its edges crackling with energy.

"What's that?" a teacher asks, her voice trembling with fear.

"I have no idea! Guard, please check it out!" another teacher urges, eyes wide with shock.

"Okay, ma'am," the guard responds hesitantly, his heart racing.

Narrator: Suddenly, a massive demon with a dark aura bursts through the portal. Its enormous horns gleam menacingly, and sharp teeth and claws glint in the light, sending chills down Juno's spine.

More demons pour out, their grotesque forms illuminated by the sunlight, heading straight for Juno. Panic sets in, and he bolts toward the nearby forest, adrenaline pumping through his veins.

"Go, go, go!" Juno urges, pushing through the dense underbrush as he sprints deeper into the woods. Branches whip against his skin, and the ground is uneven, but he keeps his eyes focused ahead, hearing the guttural growls of the demons behind him.

As he runs, Juno's bag unexpectedly opens, and Tentaru pops out, floating beside him.

"Tentaru, why are you out?" Juno yells, his breath coming in quick gasps.

"What's happening? Why are we running?" Tentaru asks, panic evident in its voice.

"A giant demon is chasing us!" Juno shouts over his shoulder, glancing back at the looming figure.

"WRAAAAGHHHH!" roars the demon behind them, its roar echoing through the trees, shaking the very ground they run on.

"AAAAAHHHHH! Run!" they scream, pushing themselves to run faster, heartbeats pounding in their ears.

Narrator: The forest is alive with sounds—the rustle of leaves, the snap of twigs underfoot, and the distant growls of demons. Juno can feel the heat of the creature behind him, its dark aura sending shivers down his spine. He dodges a low-hanging branch, barely escaping the clutches of the demon that follows.

"Juno, it's getting closer!" Tentaru cries, urgency lacing its voice.

"I know! We have to find a way to lose it!" Juno shouts, desperation in his voice.

Just then, Juno notices Tentaru glowing with a bright light. "Tentaru, get us out of here!"

Narrator: Tentaru's window opens wide, and suddenly, a long, sticky tongue shoots out, wrapping around Juno. "Hold on tight!" Tentaru exclaims as it yanks him toward the portal, just as the demon crashes through the underbrush behind them.

"Whoa!" Juno yells, feeling the rush of wind against his face as Tentaru pulls him through the portal, just in time to evade the demon's grasp.

Mesozoic Era

Juno finds himself being ejected from Tentaru's portal, landing on soft, warm grass, the air thick with the scent of wildflowers and earthy vegetation.

"AAAHHH! Tentaru, are you okay?" he asks, looking around at the unfamiliar landscape filled with vibrant greenery and strange sounds.

"I'm fine. Where are we?" Tentaru replies, scanning the area with wide, curious eyes.

"I have no idea. It's so peaceful here," Juno breathes, taking a moment to appreciate the beauty around him.

Just then, the tranquility shatters with a thunderous rumble, the ground vibrating beneath them.

Bag, bag, bag! The earth shakes violently as a massive T-Rex comes into view, its eyes locking onto Juno with primal hunger. Its colossal footfalls resonate like thunder as it charges toward them, jaws gaping wide, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth.

"AAAAHHHH! Run!" Juno screams, the reality of their situation crashing down.

"What's happening? Faster, Tentaru! Get us out of here!" Juno cries, his heart pounding in his chest.

Tentaru glows again, its portal opening wide as it prepares to transport them once more. The T-Rex lets out a deafening roar, shaking the very ground as it closes in on them.

"Jump in!" Juno yells, throwing himself into the portal just as the T-Rex lunges forward, snapping its jaws just inches away.

500 CE, Medieval Era

Juno is dropped unceremoniously from above, landing with a thud on hard ground, surrounded by the sounds of clashing swords and war cries.

"AAAAAA! Ouch!" he exclaims, rubbing his head and sitting up. The world around him is chaotic, filled with knights in armor battling fiercely against Viking warriors, their swords clanging loudly and battle cries echoing in the air.

"Are you alright?" Tentaru asks, a hint of worry in its voice, floating beside him.

As they catch their breath, they realize they are in the midst of a fierce battle between the Normans and Vikings. Swords clash, shields splinter, and men shout as they fight for their lives. The chaos swirls around them like a tempest, and Juno feels a rush of panic.

"What?! Tentaru, we're caught in a war! Do something!" Juno panics, scanning the chaotic scene.

Narrator: Tentaru activates again, its glow pulsing as it prepares to transport them once more. Just as they are about to be trapped in the chaos, a nearby knight stumbles into them, eyes wild with fear.

"Get out of the way!" he yells, pushing past them as arrows rain down from above.

"Tentaru, now!" Juno shouts, gripping the toy tightly as Tentaru opens its portal once more, pulling them away from the chaos of the medieval battlefield.

To their surprise, they bump into Kenshi, who looks exhausted and frazzled.

"Juno! Are you okay?" he gasps, barely catching his breath.

"Yeah, but you look like you've run a marathon! What happened?" Juno asks, concern etched on his face.

"Just… running… for my life!" Kenshi replies, panting heavily, glancing around nervously.

Suddenly, another portal opens, this one shimmering green. Elves step out, their presence majestic and otherworldly, adorned in flowing robes that shimmer like leaves in the sunlight.

"Quick! We need to go!" one of the elves commands, extending a hand toward them with urgency.

Narrator: With no time to waste, Juno, Kenshi, and Tentaru follow the elves through the portal, ready for whatever adventure lies ahead.
