Chapter 30: The Legend of the Dragon God

At that very moment, suddenly... a green barrier appeared 20 meters in front of Da Qingshan, illuminating the entire cave with a green glow. Waves of green magical energy surged forth... Both the Dragon God Yinfeng and the ice and wind elemental spirits felt a tremendous shock; what kind of power could such a massive barrier summon?

As the green light faded, a second-tier green dragon appeared, half-lying on the ground, seemingly gnawing on a large brown lizard jerky. The jerky's tail hung from its mouth, and drool dripped onto the lizard jerky it held in its claws, splattering on its green belly. The little creature closed its eyes, appearing extremely relaxed and content.

Clearly, before being summoned by the Divine Oath, the little dragon had been lying comfortably in someone's bed, slowly savoring the delicious lizard jerky.

Upon being suddenly summoned to the battlefield, Green noticed the bloodied Da Qingshan and Amy nearby. It leaped to Da Qingshan's side, concern evident on its face... Who had harmed the partner of a divine dragon so severely? Those who enter into a sacred contract with a divine dragon become its lifelong companions, and no one is allowed to harm them. Though still in its juvenile form, the sacred dragon's blood carried a noble pride that could not be insulted.

"Whoosh..." A breath of green dragon fire erupted from Green's mouth, its blue eyes filled with rage, while its small wings flapped rapidly in the air.

"Haha... haha..." Yinfeng's two massive heads laughed exaggeratedly as it sat on the ground, its forepaws patting its large white belly. "A divine dragon... Haha... It's been 500 years since I've seen such a large divine dragon. Hey, little green dragon, are you the heir of the ice elemental dragon? Let me eat you, haha... What a pity I'm not a green dragon; otherwise, I might consider becoming the heir of the ice elemental dragon, haha..."

Green clearly understood Yinfeng's words, and its anger intensified. In the world of dragons, status is something that no dragon can surpass. Even an ordinary divine dragon possesses absolute dominance over other dragons. As one of the six divine dragon heirs in the world, it holds absolute authority, and no dragon had ever challenged the authority of a dragon master like Yinfeng.

Blue lightning shot down from the sky toward Yinfeng. Even a being as powerful as Yinfeng could not ignore the lightning from a divine dragon. Quickly, a blue magical barrier enveloped Yinfeng, and when the lightning struck the barrier, it transformed into vibrant colors like red and yellow, flowing like mercury across the magical shield.

"Heh, I thought the higher-ranked divine dragons would be formidable!" Yinfeng's face displayed disdain.

Several fire elements suddenly appeared before Yinfeng. Clearly, Yinfeng knew well that the wind and magic dragons like Landa were ineffective against high-ranking divine dragons, so it summoned fire elements for direct physical attacks.

The fire elements were merely second-tier magic, indicating that Yinfeng looked down on the little ice elemental dragon before it.

In a fit of rage, Green spewed green dragon fire at the three approaching fire elements. Ice and water are compatible, and since ice is a form of water, fire and water are opposites. Even a second-tier divine dragon's breath cannot be underestimated. The fire elements almost instantly vanished into the white dragon fire.

"Be careful!" Just as Green was reveling in its victory, Da Qingshan sensed the danger.

Yinfeng's forelimbs unleashed four brown-red nuclear fusion eggs. Boom, boom, boom! Green had little chance to evade, taking all four powerful hits head-on, the immense force sending it soaring into the air.

Red liquid oozed from the corner of Green's mouth, but the little creature showed no signs of slowing down. With its small wings, it twisted in the air, immediately launching itself back into the fight. The wounded Green displayed a berserk state: lightning, ice blades, toxic mist... All the first- and second-tier offensive spells it knew were unleashed simultaneously upon Yinfeng, while it flapped its small wings and charged forward.

The blue magical shield absorbed most of the attacks, but occasionally one or two bolts of lightning broke through the shield, striking Yinfeng but were quickly absorbed by its blue scales.

"Green, don't charge in! Run!" Da Qingshan, having guessed that he had summoned Green with a magic circle, was engulfed in deep regret. Seeing Green rush forward, he shouted with his last breath.

As the magical light faded, Green was struck down again by several lightning orbs, its left wing already bearing wounds. Yet the pride of the divine dragon showed no signs of discouragement. It unleashed a third-tier ice magic: Ice Lance Forest, as large ice pillars erupted from the ground beneath Yinfeng's feet. The initially small ice lances grew larger, eventually reaching about a meter in diameter, bursting forth in great numbers. Yinfeng, clearly taken aback by the sudden shift in attack from the sky to the ground, struggled to evade a few times, but there were simply too many ice lances. Two of them pierced its hind limbs, and Yinfeng roared in pain, spreading its blue wings to lift off the ground.

Crack, crack! The ice lances intertwined, rapidly growing toward the sky—1 meter, 2 meters, 3 meters, 5 meters, 10 meters. Yinfeng could no longer withstand the rising threat, and with a gentle flap of its enormous wings, its massive body shot upward like an arrow, its sharp claws effortlessly grabbing Green by the neck.

The adult dragon Yinfeng stretched over 30 meters in length and stood about 15 meters tall, with its short forelimbs reaching 2 meters long. In contrast, the juvenile Green, even with its tail, was less than 2.5 meters tall. Green was lifted like a small rodent.

Yinfeng leaned its enormous head close to Green: "Little one, meeting me is your misfortune. I might be the only dragon in this world brave enough to disregard the laws of dragons. Don't even think about it—if the Dragon God Pelott were here, I would treat him the same way, haha..." As Yinfeng twisted its claw to torment Green, it spoke proudly.

"Is that so?"

Suddenly, a cold voice echoed in everyone's ears.

"Since you are so audacious, why have you been hiding here for 500 years? Relying on a magical formation created by the heavens to conceal the breath of the dragon race!" The solemn voice sounded as if it were the pronouncement of the world's end.

At some unknown time, a dragon appeared at the very top of the cave—a golden dragon. It hovered in the air, truly suspended; its golden wings were not spread out, nor was there any semblance of a floating spell beneath it. This dragon wasn't very large, seeming more like a young dragon, only about three meters tall, yet the tone of its speech felt remarkably ancient.

What a sight it was! The dragon seemed far away, yet so close it felt within reach; it looked small, yet every scale appeared infinitely vast, capable of encompassing heaven and earth. The scales shimmered with intricate, undulating patterns, piercing the eyes of everyone present. Its entire body seemed to radiate something invisible—majesty? Aura? Or something else entirely?

"Dragon God?" The first to react was actually Yinfeng. Overwhelmed by shock, he loosened his grip, and Green fell from the air, landing heavily on the ground.

Yinfeng's blue head shrank in fear, yet his black head remained proudly raised. "Hey, enough with the nonsense! After hiding for 500 years, I never expected a little pest to ruin my plans. It's not that I fear you; I've been waiting for a better opportunity."

"Enough talk. Let's see which is stronger: my lineage as the last dragon god or you." Yinfeng continued with his shocking actions, launching an attack on the dragon god Palot.

Four nuclear fusion eggs shot towards the dragon god like a lightning strike.

The dragon god did not move, allowing the nuclear fusion eggs to explode against its body.

"Be careful!" Amy, having gradually recovered, shouted anxiously after witnessing the power of the nuclear fusion eggs.

Through the brown-red smoke, the unmoving figure of the dragon god emerged: "You should use more powerful magic. Let me witness the strength of the last dragon god's lineage."

"Creatures of darkness, unleash your full power!" Yinfeng suddenly began to chant, shocking both Amy and Daqingshan. In legend, Yinfeng was already a fifth-tier dragon, and such a dragon could cast magic below the fifth tier without any incantation—thought alone would summon the magic. What kind of magic required a being as powerful as Yinfeng to chant?

In midair, a black-red hexagonal magic formation suddenly flickered. Then, two ugly black creatures, each ten meters tall, struggled out of the formation, as if trying to break free from something. Their blood-red bodies were adorned with two black-red wings on their backs, and they had long, curved horns on their heads, resembling water buffalo horns rather than the straight horns of dragons. A slender, black, hook-tailed appendage swayed behind them.

Demons? And demon kings at that? They looked eerily similar to the demon kings said to be imprisoned on Demon Island by the Creator God. Could such terrifying beings truly exist?

The two demon kings flickered and suddenly appeared beside the dragon god, their massive fists and wide mouths ready to attack, revealing blood-red tongues tipped with long hooks. Their giant feet extended sharp claws. Punching, biting, clawing—the onslaught rained down upon the dragon god.

The dragon god's petite body seemed to be engulfed by the two monsters.

"Dark Primordial Fire, unleash your forbidden spell!" In the face of the dragon god, Yinfeng's blue head dared not cast any more magic, but evidently, the black dragon head had taken control of the entire body.

Dark Primordial Fire? The legendary strongest single-target attack spell? Before leaving Amy, Reger had mentioned some legendary forbidden spells in his final lessons, and Dark Primordial Fire was among them. It was said that even dragons could not withstand such magic. Reger's description had left a deep impression on Amy: it summoned the dark primordial fire to burn everything around it, powerful and mana-efficient, known as the fastest large-area spell. However, the drawback was that the more targets attacked, the damage would decrease accordingly; if used on a single target, the effect would be optimal. The attacked target would even be rendered immobile.

The black flames danced and swirled, as if determined to wrap around the dragon god.

"Heretic, in the name of the true god, I condemn your foolish actions!" Yinfeng then unleashed another legendary forbidden spell.

Divine Condemnation? This was also mentioned in Reger's final lessons: some priests of the Holy Church, upon reaching sufficient power and status, often deluded themselves into believing they had become divine and sought followers. Though they would eventually be expelled from the Holy Church, they could still wield divine power—bringing down "divine" condemnation upon targets with their own divine strength. The stronger their abilities and followers, the greater the damage inflicted, potentially throwing the target into chaos and rendering them incapable of resistance or defense.

In a flurry of three legendary forbidden spells, even the dragon god, a being at the pinnacle of the world, was caught utterly unprepared by the sudden onslaught.

Dragons typically exist in five states: the newly born dragon, known as a whelp, is about one meter tall and loves to bounce around, capable of unconsciously using the most basic dragon breath.

Next is the second-tier dragon, which moves very quickly but cannot fly and can freely cast various beginner spells.

The third-tier dragon can soar through the skies, casting various intermediate spells; at this stage, dragons possess immense destructive power, often causing havoc wherever they go due to their boundless energy and playful nature.

Following that is the fourth-tier dragon, which wields extraordinarily powerful abilities and can freely use various advanced spells. Dragons at this stage usually have their own lairs and are considered exceedingly wise.

The fifth-tier dragon is the final stage of dragons. The divine dragon can transform into other species at this stage, and ordinary dragons possess the power to annihilate cities.
