"Buy a car? This task is perfect," Chen thought, eyes lighting up.
It was convenient that he had already been thinking about getting a car, and now the system had given him a mission to do just that. Plus, buying a car would earn him a top villa in Jiangzhou—this was practically a steal.
Without hesitation, Chen hopped into a taxi and headed straight for the Lamborghini dealership in Jiangzhou.
As soon as he stepped inside the Lamborghini 4S store, several beautiful saleswomen approached him.
"Can I help you with anything today?" one of them asked politely.
"What cars do you have in stock? I want something that's ready to go," Chen replied, knowing that he had only three hours to complete the task.
"Are you looking to buy immediately?" the saleswoman asked, a little taken aback by his urgency. Then she added, "We have a few models in stock, but you'll have to pay a bit extra for immediate availability."
"Money isn't an issue," Chen said flatly. Time was the only thing on his mind.
"Right this way," she said with a smile, sensing his decisiveness.
They walked over to a sleek, powerful-looking car that immediately captured Chen's attention. The saleswoman introduced it.
"This is our top model, the Lamborghini Aventador, also known as the Lamborghini Bull. It's equipped with a 6.5L V12 engine, producing 700 horsepower, and features a full carbon fiber composite monocoque body…"
"I'll take it," Chen interrupted, barely letting her finish.
This was one of his dream cars, a car that he had always wanted but never imagined owning. When his cousin had been accepted into a top university, their grandfather had bought him a Lamborghini Huracán, and it had been the talk of the family. Now, Chen was buying something far superior—the Aventador was on another level entirely.
The saleswoman smiled brightly. "The total price, including all the top accessories, is 12.59 million yuan. However, since it's your first purchase here, we can waive the fraction. You only need to pay 12 million yuan."
"No problem," Chen said, nodding as he swiftly transferred the funds.
After the paperwork was signed, the system chimed in:
**[Ding]**
**[Mission complete: Purchase a luxury car]**
**[Reward: Top villa in Jiangzhou—Villa No. 8 in Yujing Villa, valued between 65 million and 80 million yuan]**
Chen was stunned by the reward. Yujing Villa was known as the most prestigious and luxurious villa area in all of Jiangzhou. The people who lived there were the elites—either incredibly wealthy or of high social standing. Villa No. 8 was said to be the grandest of them all.
Many powerful figures in Jiangzhou had their eyes on it, but the developer had mysteriously kept it reserved for someone special. Now, it belonged to Chen.
He had completed a single task and walked away with both a luxury car and the top villa in Jiangzhou. And he still had nearly a billion yuan left in his bank account. Severing ties with the Chen family had turned out to be the best decision of his life.
Chen, now behind the wheel of his brand-new Lamborghini, drove directly to Yujing Villa.
Half an hour later, he arrived at his destination, where a team of staff was already waiting for him in front of Villa No. 8.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Chen?" one of them asked politely.
"Yes," Chen replied.
The staff member handed him the contract. After a quick review, Chen signed it, officially becoming the owner of the most luxurious home in Jiangzhou.
"The villa covers over 1,590 square meters," the staff member began to explain. "The entrance features a custom Dierre armored door, bulletproof and explosion-resistant. Inside, there are 11 bedrooms, three living rooms, a gym, a study, a private wine cellar, a cinema…"
Chen was impressed. The villa was more like a palace than a home. The cost of its interior design alone was rumored to be more than 30 million yuan.
After the introduction, the staff left, and Chen spent the rest of the day exploring his new home. By evening, he had ordered a meal from a private chef, a service included in the one-million-yuan annual property fee. Yujing Villa's staff included top chefs poached from five-star hotels, available around the clock for the villa owners.
The next morning, after a restful night in his luxurious new home, Chen drove to school in his Lamborghini.
As he passed by Villa No. 9, he caught a glimpse of a beautiful figure stepping out of the house. He couldn't help but feel that she looked familiar, though he couldn't place where he had seen her before. The figure disappeared too quickly for him to get a better look.
After his morning classes, Chen went to meet his girlfriend, Song Manyu, who was also a sophomore. He wanted to tell her about everything that had happened, including how he had cut ties with the Chen family.
But before he could say anything, Song Manyu's voice turned cold.
"Chen, let's break up."
