Chapter 3.3

Few days later...

He woke up in a hospital. He tried to move but couldn't. He could barely breathe. The rays of sunlight struck his foot but he couldn't feel the warmth.

Numbness was all over his body. The door opened and a girl entered the room with a basket of fruits. She put the basket beside him. She had her eyes almost closed.

She opened her eyes and looked at him. She gasped. She was stunned. The nurse entered the room saying, "What's the case?"

She pointed at Sam with her vibrating fingers and said, "H-he's awake."

The nurse quickly took her out of the room and called the doctors in.

"It's such a wonder. He being alive in such a state is a miracle in itself. Not just alive, he's now awake. I think we have some hope for this lad. Take him to the operation centre."

The nurse quickly took the bed out and they quickly rushed to the operation centre. The nurse got out of the room and made a call.

In a house far away in a distant forest, an old woman picked the call.

"Ma'am, your son is awake. He still have some hope left."

The old woman was out of words. She dropped the receiver. She smiled and let out drops of tear. Back in the hospital, the girl who entered Sam's room earlier was running out of the hospital, shaking hands with everyone.

Few days later...

The operation was success. Sam was now finally good. He was cured. A guy of his age sat beside him. The guy said, "You awake, Sam?"

"Where am I? I kinda don't remember anything."

"Did you lose memory or something like that? It'd be good if you did. Nothing was good anyway."

"Who are you? What are you talking about?"

"Spare your words for later. I'm not surprised that you lost your memory. That load of drug is taking effect now."

Sam tried to continue with his weak voice but he just couldn't speak anymore. He had no energy to speak. He stared at the ceiling as the guy talked with him.
