End of Mission

Megamarl rushed towards the other Ghost Agents, his laughter echoing as he was about to put down his colleagues. Gray closed his eyes tight held up his hands, a desperate bid to protect himself.

Megamarl: "Don't worry! Your deaths will be painful-"

Megamarl was interrupted when a gloved fist collided with his face. Gray opened his eyes and looked at where the fist came from. The others did the same, their eyes widened.

Al: "Boss!?"

Blitzney: "Oh thank fuck..."

Megamarl flew back from the punch, bouncing off the ground. Boss stepped forwards and took off his suit jacket and tie, leaving just his white undershirt. He pulled his gloves to be tighter and stood in front of his employees.

Boss: "How did you let things get bad enough for Megamarl to be let out."

Lexateel: "The Anarghost was strong as hell Boss-"

Javedyn: "It was Lexateel's fault!"

Lexateel: "You motherfucker-"

Boss: "Quiet. I'll clean this up."

Megamarl rose from the ground and looked at Boss. His smile vanished for a moment before returning. He stepped forward and twirled his scythe, then put it over his shoulder.

Megamarl: "How typical for you to interrupt my fun. Just as I was getting playtime for the first long while."

Boss: "Fun's over. And you aren't on my payroll. Give Marley control. Now."

Boss picked the neck shackle from the ground alongside the key. He popped his neck and locked eyes with Megamarl. Megamarl ran at Boss, aiming for the kill so he wouldn't be sealed again. However, Boss immediately appeared behind him.

Boss: "Yeah...that attack wasn't gonna happen."

Boss threw the shackle and key into the air before punching Megamarl in the back of the head, knocking into the ground. He then stomped his head down, ectoplasm spraying everywhere nearby. Megamarl raised a hand.

Megamarl: "Atomic Decay!"

Boss moved out of the way, avoiding the Atomic Decay, however a pair of human survivors in the rubble were completely decayed. Megamarl shot up into the air and threw his scythe at Boss. The scythe was caught and Boss jumped towards Megamarl.

Megamarl raised his hand, however Boss appeared behind him and put the scythe around Megamarl's neck. Megamarl grabbed Boss' collar, but Boss headbutted the back of Megamarl's head and broke the scythe with the force. Megamarl landed on the ground.

Boss grabbed the shackle and key from where they landed after he threw them up. Boss stepped towards Megamarl.

Boss: "Give up yet?"

Megamarl: "NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!!!"

Megamarl pounced at Boss and readied his Atomic Decay. However, he was stopped by Boss' knee greeting his nose. Ectoplasm poured from his nostrils, his head reeling back. Boss wrapped the shackle around his neck and turned the key.

Boss: "Checkmate."

Megamarl: "You...motherfu-"

Megamarl fell backwards and closed his eyes, his aura dying down to how it was before. Then, he opened his eyes and they were white again. Marley was back in control.

Marley: "Ow...thanks Boss..."

Boss picked Marley off the ground. The other Ghost Agents ran over and were celebrating. Well, Gray was in a state of shock until Marley tapped him on the dome, snapping him out of it.

Gray: "Wha- Oh hey Marley."

Boss: "Enough. We're done here. Let's go."

Everyone nodded and Boss opened the portal back to the office. After they all re-entered the Ghost World, Boss left to his private room. The others went to their rooms, except Gray and Blitzney.

Gray was still in a sort of surprise because of Megamarl. Blitzney noticed this and patted his shoulder.

Blitzney: "Trust me, I was surprised the first time too."

Gray: "Well...that doesn't really help...but I appreciate the sentiment..."

Blitzney: "No problemo. Wanna binge a show with Marley? Usually helps calm the guy down after Megamarl incidents."

Gray: "O-oh...sure I guess-"

Blitzney: "Great!"

She grabbed Gray by his hoodie and dragged him to Marley's room, where he was watching his favorite show. He looked over at them and waved.

A FEW HOURS LATER...

Marley and Blitzney were asleep (Yes ghosts sleep in this story). Gray was looking at the ceiling he sighed...clearly this Ghost Agent stuff was going to be much more hectic than he thought.
