Chapter 9: Chen siqi

After arriving at the hotel, Chen Yuchen took a shower, changed into clean clothes, and intended to write some of his novel. But lately, his creative energy had been low. He opened the document, but his mind was blank. Frustrated, he hastily wrote a few filler scenes. Since inspiration wasn't coming, he decided to relax and check in on his reader chat group to see what they were discussing.

The familiar, lively atmosphere in the chat group instantly greeted him. The female readers were chatting away, jumping from novel topics to their personal lives, and had even started sharing photos of themselves. This wasn't unusual, but Chen Yuchen didn't expect much. Online selfies rarely live up to the hype, he thought.

However, when the first picture popped up, he paused. The girl in the photo wasn't a supermodel, but she was decent-looking—probably a 6 out of 10.

Better than expected, Chen Yuchen mused.

Then, more pictures followed. To his surprise, the girls in the group were generally quite attractive. One photo, of an especially well-endowed woman, quickly ignited lively discussion, with fans flooding the chat with compliments on her looks and figure.

Where there's a good figure, attention follows, Chen Yuchen thought, amused at how the atmosphere had suddenly become so enthusiastic.

Just as he was about to close the chat and return to writing, a new photo appeared.

In the picture, a girl stood in front of a reflective subway mirror. Her long hair flowed over her shoulders, and she wore light makeup, her eyes slightly red, giving her a mix of playfulness and allure. She had on a purple T-shirt and denim shorts, with long, pale legs that immediately drew attention. The entire image had a fresh, captivating feel, making it hard to look away.

Chen Siqi: "Ladies, I've arrived in Jinling! Anyone nearby who wants to meet up?"

"Siqi is so pretty!" "Oh my god, an actual goddess!" The chat exploded with comments, as the group members marveled at Chen Siqi's looks and charm.

Chen Siqi was already well-liked in the group, known for her outgoing and friendly personality. Her photo sparked even more excitement, with everyone admiring her beauty and especially her long legs. The chatroom was buzzing with compliments.

"Those legs are unreal! So jealous!"

"Siqi, you're stunning—definitely our group's beauty queen!"

Even Chen Yuchen had to admit that Chen Siqi was attractive. She had a bright and cheerful personality that made her instantly likable.

Before the excitement could calm down, Chen Siqi sent another message: "I just arrived in Jinling for school, but I got here too late. The campus check-in closed after 5 PM, and now I have nowhere to stay. Anyone able to help?"

The chat went silent for a moment.

"What? You don't have a place to stay?" "That's rough. We're not in Jinling, though…" The readers were worried, but none of them were nearby to help her.

Chen Siqi added a crying emoji: "I'm thinking of finding a hotel, but everywhere's booked. I'm seriously close to sleeping on the street. What should I do?"

The group was filled with concern, with members suggesting she look for a nearby motel. But she clearly felt uneasy about staying anywhere unfamiliar.

Chen Yuchen stared at his phone, feeling a slight urge to help. Hotels in Jinling did get fully booked, especially during the start of the school year. If she really had no place to stay, it wasn't an exaggeration to say she might be stranded.

After a brief moment of consideration, he finally decided to speak up. His fingers typed quickly: "I'm in Jinling."

Instantly, the chat exploded.

"Oh my god! Mr. Chen finally spoke!" "Uncle's here! This is rare!" "You're in Jinling, Mr. Chen?"

Seeing the excited responses, Chen Yuchen smiled to himself, thinking: It seems the real fun is about to begin.
