Chapter 5

## Chapter 5 ##

"No girl would say her name like that. Does my name even relate to abstinence?" Qin Wanshu frowned. It was never good for a woman to be associated with names like Qiang Huan and Bo De, and Qin Wanshu never felt that her name had anything to do with abstinence.

"I don't think there's anything wrong with Qiang Huan. Living for the moment is nice. You look like someone who restrains her desires," Zuo Qinghuan replied. Although Qin Wanshu's name wasn't inscribed with the word "abstinence," ever since Zuo Qinghuan deduced that Qin Wanshu was frigid, she naturally marked her with that label.

"Desire is like a flood; it often disturbs the heart. There's nothing wrong with restraint. A person without desires is strong," Qin Wanshu said, never believing that restraint was wrong.

"So you're frigid?" Zuo Qinghuan raised an eyebrow, asking in a tone of deduction mixed with gossip, striking a rather inappropriate chord.

Zuo Qinghuan's abrupt question caused Qin Wanshu to pause for a moment, and then the delicate expression on her face showed a slight crack as she looked at Zuo Qinghuan with a strange expression. Qin Wanshu never thought being frigid was a big deal, but Zuo Qinghuan's gaze made her feel as if being frigid was pitiful, almost like a disability.

Naturally, Qin Wanshu wouldn't admit to being frigid to a woman she had only met once or twice; they weren't familiar enough to discuss personal privacy.

Qin Wanshu merely smiled politely without answering Zuo Qinghuan's question. She found the scene very strange, and it was clear that she wasn't suited to discuss this topic with Zuo Qinghuan.

"If you are frigid, it's a shame. A woman who hasn't been baptized by love and desire isn't a complete woman. A woman only truly blossoms in desire…" Zuo Qinghuan continued, shamelessly borrowing Li Xin's theories to deceive Qin Wanshu. She didn't even know where Li Xin got such twisted logic from. Usually, Zuo Qinghuan scoffed at Li Xin's theories, but at this moment, she audaciously appropriated them.

Qin Wanshu looked at Zuo Qinghuan with a very strange gaze. A woman who seemed so pure could say such things in such a bold manner, which felt very out of place.

Zuo Qinghuan felt somewhat uncomfortable under Qin Wanshu's gaze. Although she was indeed a hedonist, she wasn't one to flaunt such debauched remarks.

Looking at Qin Wanshu's still clean eyes, Zuo Qinghuan felt as if she was soiling Qin Wanshu with those dirty ideas. To Qin Wanshu, she felt like dirt, and this feeling made Zuo Qinghuan uneasy.

However, a large part of it was Zuo Qinghuan being overly sensitive. Qin Wanshu didn't want to continue the topic and regarded Zuo Qinghuan with a playful yet scrutinizing gaze. Sometimes, scrutiny was a tool that forced others to feel guilty when one didn't know how to respond. Qin Wanshu had a feeling that Zuo Qinghuan was discussing something she didn't consider to be a hidden ailment, and the so-called hidden ailment was something not meant to be discussed with outsiders. Yet at this moment, her hidden ailment was being brought to light for discussion; it felt undeniably strange.

"I'm sorry to interrupt for so long. I should get going; I'll return for the clothes another day," Qin Wanshu said politely. Since she had changed clothes, it was time to go home, and she felt relieved not to have to continue this strange topic.

"Oh, okay," Zuo Qinghuan didn't try to keep her longer. However, watching Qin Wanshu leave in a hurry, she suddenly felt like Qin Wanshu was fleeing in panic, and the earlier displeasure vanished. Qin Wanshu, that woman like a goddess, also had her flaws. What a pity for her soft and exquisite features and that perfect figure. Although Qin Wanshu didn't directly respond to Zuo Qinghuan's earlier deduction, Zuo Qinghuan was a hundred percent sure that Qin Wanshu was frigid, and she firmly believed in it.

"Zuo Qinghuan, where did you take Qin Wanshu?" Li Xin asked Zuo Qinghuan over the phone. Yan Ruozhe didn't have time to pay attention to her, and she felt so bored. She wanted to go out and have some fun, but Li Xin only dared to think about it secretly. If that perverted woman Yan Ruozhe found out, she would definitely ruin her. That woman was extremely cleanly, and Li Xin suddenly realized that she had been a good wife for many years. It was a shame given her looks that were like a disaster, Li Xin thought.

"Where are you now? I'll come find you," Zuo Qinghuan didn't answer Li Xin. She knew Li Xin was just lonely and wanted her to go out for a drink and vent.

"Prague, I'm waiting for you," Li Xin said ambiguously.

Prague was a bar that Li Xin would occasionally drag her to when she wanted to show off a bit. Zuo Qinghuan didn't really like going there; she had always found women's pursuits to be very annoying.

Li Xin watched Zuo Qinghuan, who had just entered and attracted countless gazes. She always felt that Zuo Qinghuan was like a chameleon. At that moment, with her not-so-light makeup, she had shed the youthful innocence of a student from earlier in the day. No longer was she that deceptively pure fairy, but rather a seductive demoness. Moreover, Zuo Qinghuan was somewhat different from her; most of the people Li Xin attracted were T-types (masculine women), while Zuo Qinghuan was attractive to both T and P (feminine) types, with both approaching her. Li Xin felt it was a pity that Zuo Qinghuan wasn't one of her kind; this woman had much better luck with women than she did, and she truly had the potential to wreak havoc on the world.

"Wow, your outfit is such a contrast from what you wore during the day!" Li Xin exclaimed.

"Do you think a fairy sister would come to a place like this?" Zuo Qinghuan replied, very satisfied with her fairy-like appearance. She didn't want to ruin her trademark face, so she put on heavy makeup to ensure that no one could recognize her as the Zuo Qinghuan from earlier.

"Pfft, with the way you look now, do you really think you can call yourself a fairy sister?" Li Xin laughed. Based on her understanding of Zuo Qinghuan so far, she was certain that Zuo Qinghuan had transformed into a chameleon, because no one enjoyed deceiving others and disguising themselves more than she did.

"I knew you were jealous of my versatility; there's no need to keep emphasizing it," Zuo Qinghuan said dismissively. She then sat on a high chair and began mixing the various drinks that Li Xin had already ordered.

"You actually splashed Qin Wanshu with milk tea! Did she show her true colors afterwards? From my observations, the kinder a woman seems on the surface, the more malicious she is. The more she can disguise herself, the more petty her heart is, and she likes to hold grudges. She'll smile sweetly and say it's fine, then kick you a few times when you're not paying attention…" Li Xin thought any woman who cared about her appearance would get angry if someone deliberately splashed milk tea on her. If she didn't get angry, she was either a fool or a saint, and clearly, Qin Wanshu wasn't a fool. Li Xin didn't believe there were any saints in the world. So, Qin Wanshu and Zuo Qinghuan must be of the same type—both being duplicitous. Perhaps even more malicious than Zuo Qinghuan; the more she thought about it, the more likely it seemed.

The more Zuo Qinghuan listened, the more she felt something was off. Why did she feel that the adjectives Li Xin used to describe Qin Wanshu were actually directed at her?

"Li Xin, you've watched too many dramas. A woman like Qin Wanshu wouldn't stoop to caring about such trivial matters," Zuo Qinghuan said lightly, sipping the drink she had made. Qin Wanshu seemed different from any other woman; there was something unfathomable about her that made one want to explore further.

Trivial matters? A woman being splashed with milk tea in the street was a trivial matter? Li Xin, as a woman, felt that it was a very serious issue.

"Well then, let me splash a glass of red wine on you and see if it's a trivial matter…" Li Xin said, shaking the glass of red wine. She actually wanted to try the feeling of splashing it on Zuo Qinghuan; that must be quite refreshing.

"You dare!" Zuo Qinghuan thought Li Xin's eager expression was extremely irritating.

"So, where did you take Qin Wanshu afterwards?" Li Xin changed the topic. She had always been curious about this. She wouldn't dare actually splash wine on Zuo Qinghuan; Zuo Qinghuan was not much more forgiving than a needle's eye.

"I took her back to change clothes, and then she left."

"You're so kind; did anything happen afterwards? You took her back to Han Shibin's secret place; weren't you afraid she'd catch on? You're really quite bold as a mistress. By the way, why did you suddenly splash her? Are you jealous of her?" Li Xin asked in astonishment. What puzzled her was that Zuo Qinghuan, while seeming carefree, appeared to really like Han Shibin, but Li Xin sensed that it wasn't love.

"Why are you being so nosy?" Zuo Qinghuan raised an eyebrow and looked at Li Xin sideways.

"Tsk, tsk, you're not actually interested in her, are you? Are you really going to play the taboo game of one wife and one mistress? Little Huan, I admire you from now on. You don't just choose any woman; you go straight for the wealthy man's wife. You're simply my idol now; I will follow you from now on!" Li Xin said dramatically, not missing any opportunity to tease Zuo Qinghuan.

Zuo Qinghuan looked at Li Xin with unexpected depth. It was true that she was interested in Qin Wanshu, but she didn't think her interest in Qin Wanshu was of that nature.

Li Xin felt a little uneasy under her gaze. Why did she feel like Zuo Qinghuan had the potential to be a viper? At that moment, she felt like a frog being targeted by a venomous snake, unaware that the frog wasn't her but Qin Wanshu.
