In the days that followed, Aelric worked closely with the council to rebuild Eldoria. The kingdom was still healing, and though the people were free, there was much work to be done. Villages needed repair, and those who had suffered under the Shadow King's rule needed support.
One morning, Aelric and Lyra walked through the fields outside Elanor, where new crops were being planted. Aelric watched as people, once fearful and downtrodden, worked with smiles on their faces, planting seeds and mending the land.
"It's beautiful to see life returning," Lyra said, her voice soft with wonder. "After so much darkness, hope is growing again."
Aelric nodded, feeling a sense of peace settle over him. "We've been given a second chance, Lyra. I won't let Eldoria fall into despair again. I promise to protect it, to guide it."
Lyra looked at him, pride shining in her eyes. "You've already done so much, Aelric. Eldoria will thrive under your care."
As they walked back toward the castle, Aelric felt a deep resolve solidify within him. He wasn't just the Lost Heir anymore he was the leader of a reborn Eldoria. And though he knew there would be challenges ahead, he was ready to face them, surrounded by allies and friends who believed in him.
