Epilogue : Part 3: Sealed for eternity

Saka woke up. He could see the grey clouds and the grey waters. Rain had stopped, but it would resume any moment.

For a minute his mind was blank. Memories from last night began to flood. Dang. What had he done? How could he even look at Vira now? Vira wasn't around, but he could hear the vessels. Vira must be cooking.

He scuttled towards the bathroom, forgeting to take his clothes in haste. Cursing himself, he got a quick shower, praying he could make it to his bag, before Vira came.

He could, but there was just a problem. His bag had no clothes. Dang Vira. He hadn't packed him any clothes.

Was he supposed to walk around with nothing? Wait? Was that Vira's plan all along? Saka blushed at the thought. Dang Vira again.

"Good morning sunshine!"

Saka jumped. "V-vira!"

He went a deep red, clutching on to his towel around his waist.

Vira smiled. "Tempting me so early in the morning?"

"N-no, just d-don't have clothes."

"And why do you need it?" He asked casually, as he laid the plates of food he had prepared at the small floor table.

Vira had apparently gotten his bath and changed into clothes. Saka wanted to call him a hypocrite, but feared the consequences. He pursed his lips and said nothing.

Vira decided not to tease him anymore.

He pointed to the cupboard. "Clothes are there. Wear it before you catch a cold, I'll go and bring us our coffee."

Saka heaved a sigh of relief when he found his clothes. He couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed.

"Not even a morning kiss, what a petty fellow!" Saka muttered to himself as he dressed up.

Vira placed the coffee on the table, he didn't say anything.

They ate in silence. Vira took the plates down to wash.

Had Saka done something wrong? Why was Vira so quiet?

He followed Vira down."Vira, can I help?"

Vira shook his head and smiled. "No. I want you to have a peaceful weekend. Just go sit."

Saka was did not say anything. He stood and watched Vira clean up.

Vira then dried his hands and looked at Saka, "come with me," he said.

The walked outside. Neither had an umbrella. They walked all the way to the beach.

Vira just stood and stared at the sea. Saka stood right next to him. He watched Vira intently. What was going on in Vira's head?

"Saka, you believe in Apā don't you?"

Saka was puzzled by the question. "Ofcourse."

"You trust he will protect you?"

"No doubt."

"Then if I called him as witness while I asked you for your hand, you will accept it?"

"Absolutely.... wait. What?"

Saka looked at Vira. As he processed the words, he felt his eyes moisten. Dang, he was going to cry. Vira drew out a small silver band with a blue dot. He gently took Saka's hand and slipped the ring.

"Since you agreed, you can't go back now."

Saka felt his tears fall down his cheeks. He jumped on to Vira, pushing him down due to the force. Saka still clung on to him. "It took you long enough! When are we marrying?"

Vira smiled. "When you graduate."

Saka sniffed, and mumbled, "what's with you and graduation?"

Vira laughed as he gently hugged him.
