Everyone VS The Orvalisks (Part 1)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yuka stood firm, her gaze fixed on the horizon as she summoned Ralfi and Malfi. The twin aerial scouts soared high above Riscone Kingdom, their sharp eyes and acute senses sweeping across the vast land. Every second counted. Hiro's invasion was imminent.
Minutes later, Malfi descended rapidly, wings slicing through the air like blades. She landed gracefully before Yuka, her voice urgent. "The north gate... The presence is overwhelming. Hiro will breach from there."
Without wasting a moment, Yuka sprinted toward Helrin, her heart pounding. "Confirmed! Hiro is coming from the north gate!" she reported, her voice unwavering despite the tension thick in the air.
Helrin, clad in her battle armor, her commander's cloak billowing behind her, took a deep breath before raising her voice with authority. "All citizens and subjects of Riscone Kingdom! Evacuate through the south gate immediately! Head there and remain stationed until further notice! If you all are too far, approach the High Kingdom's Mana Rail Station, sir August Munth is there with the Mana Rail, get inside the Mana Rail, sir August will send all of you to the next kingdom over for your evacuation and safety!"
A wave of movement surged through the kingdom as panicked yet disciplined civilians rushed toward safety. The streets trembled with hurried footsteps, carts rattling as families clung together, desperate to escape the impending storm of battle, as we also see many civilians board the Mana Rail with August Munth guiding them into the Mana Rail.
The Riscone Defense Force stood firm. The kingdom had been cleared. Now, it was just them versus Hiro.
Helrin turned to Miri, her expression steely. "We take our positions now. There's no room for mistakes. We fight to win."
Miri, her grip tightening around Bastion's handle, nodded. "Understood. We won't let Tobe's sacrifice be in vain."
Helrin's orders rang clear across the battlefield. "Adventurers! Station yourselves in the middle near the north gate! Spread out, but hold your ground. Do NOT advance without my command! Healers and enchanters! Form the Healer's Circle in tight formation at the very back—your survival is critical!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As the formations took shape, the elite warriors were divided into six formidable subjugation groups:

Group 1 - Hiro Subjugation: Miri, Toma, Yuka, Ino Johi, and Elma.

Group 2 - Sword Orvalisk Subjugation: Max, Burbon Wysk, Chisa, Cal, and Jax.

Group 3 - Spear Orvalisk Subjugation: Captain Helrin, Lala, Jeremi, Kash, and Melina.

Group 4 - Fist Orvalisk Subjugation: Jun, Sun Dei, Uelrock, Yu, and Zac.

Group 5 - Scythe Orvalisk Subjugation: Naoto, Moon Dew, Alfie, Gerald, Melty, and Joan.

Group 6 - Axe Orvalisk Subjugation: Umi, Alpheit, Julius, Eis, Maltine, Fang & Blubby, and an experienced healer.

The battlefield was set. Shields locked, weapons drawn, and magic primed, the warriors of Riscone Kingdom stood against the encroaching darkness.

Miri exhaled deeply, her armored boots pressing into the hardened soil beneath her. She turned her gaze toward the northern horizon, where Hiro's presence loomed closer with every second.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Hiro's end...
Hiro walked toward the towering northern gate of the Riscone Kingdom, his movements slow and deliberate, the earth itself seeming to tremble beneath his approach. A thick, unnatural aura radiated from his being, a suffocating miasma of pure malice and destruction. The defenders atop the walls felt it—the sheer weight of his presence—and even the most hardened warriors found their grip on their weapons tightening involuntarily.
But while his body moved with purpose, inside his mind, Hiro was shackled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Within Hiro's Consciousness...

A vast, endless void. Hiro, clad only in his underwear, knelt upon an unseen surface, his wrists bound high above him by chaotic crimson chains. His body was as he remembered it from before—before everything went wrong. He was trapped, enslaved by his own mistake, bound by the cursed chaos of the Greataxe of Pure Destruction.

Before him, the scene replayed—the moment his fate was sealed.

After leaving the site of the bus crash, Hiro had wandered alone for days, eventually stumbling into a small village known as Altvynee. Struggling to survive, he became a solo adventurer, taking on missions and gradually climbing the ranks until he reached Rank C. It was then that he made his fatal error—joining a random adventuring party to raid a dungeon.

At first, things had gone smoothly. His new comrades were kind and supportive. But then...

He found the secret chamber.

A narrow, pitch-black corridor, void of torches or light, stretching endlessly forward. And from its depths... whispers.

"Do you want power?"

"Destroy everything."

"Chaos... I know what you are."

"You are alone."

"No one is truly your friend."

Hiro clutched his head, trying to block out the voices, but their presence was suffocating. And then—he saw it.

A monstrous greataxe, pulsating with a malevolent red glow, looming before him like an executioner's blade waiting for its victim.

"Take hold of me, young one..."

"I will grant you the power you seek..."

"I will make you whole... like how your parents once did..."

"All you need... is Chaos."

The whispers dug into his mind, twisting his thoughts, poisoning his reason. His fingers trembled, his breath shallow.

And then—he reached out.

The instant his hand touched the handle, a shockwave of crimson energy exploded outward. His consciousness was yanked into darkness. And when his eyes reopened... they were lifeless.

His body was no longer his own...

Soul Hiro struggled against his bindings, his chains rattling violently as he thrashed. Before him, floating ominously in the void, was the Greataxe—no longer just a weapon, but a humanoid specter of malice, grinning with piercing, menacing eyes.

"Why?! Why did you do this?! Let me go! Free me, you damned axe!" Hiro roared, his voice filled with desperation.

The specter only chuckled. "Now, now..." It leaned closer, its smirk widening. "This is your fault, y'know. Your desires... your subconscious... they reached for me. You wanted power, didn't you? But how unfortunate..." It tilted its head mockingly. "How gullible you are."

A dark screen materialized before them, showing what Hiro could no longer control—his own body, stepping out of the secret chamber, wielding the accursed greataxe.

"What are you doing?!" Hiro screamed.

"Oh, just... having a little fun," the specter replied, its voice dripping with malice. "Just clearing out some... rust."

On the screen, Hiro—no, the creature now wearing his skin—turned to face his party. They smiled at him, unaware. Trusting.

And then, the massacre began.

"NO! NO! STOP IT! WHY?! WHY?! WHYYYYYYYY?!" Soul Hiro's voice cracked in despair as he watched himself slaughter them one by one.

"Oh, Hiro..." The specter sneered. "Just sit back and enjoy the show. After all, what else can a weak, helpless spectator do?" With that, it dissipated, fully seizing control of Hiro's body.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Present Time...
Back in the real world, Hiro stood at the northern gate, his head tilted slightly as if listening to something only he could hear.
"So... ready to watch familiar people to you, die?" the Greataxe whispered to Soul Hiro within.
From within his prison, Soul Hiro gritted his teeth. "I hope they kill you entirely..."
The Greataxe's laughter echoed in his mind. "With this power... and now, with the full strength of the Tome of Red Curses and Black Chaos, I am power incarnate! HAHAHA!"
But deep within the void, Soul Hiro smirked slightly. "Although, you... are not immortal..."
Back outside, Hiro's eyes gleamed a sinister red. He slowly raised the accursed weapon, dark tendrils swirling around him. The very air seemed to twist and distort, the ground beneath his feet forming black cracks that pulsed with chaotic energy.
"All Orvalisk Release!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A black abyss opened behind him, churning and writhing. And from its depths, five titanic entities emerged—each one wielding weapons that radiated an unholy glow.

The Five Orvalisks.

The Sword Orvalisk, its blade exuding waves of pure destruction.

The Spear Orvalisk, its elongated weapon dripping with corruptive energy.

The Fist Orvalisk, its knuckles cracking as raw power surged through its fists.

The Scythe Orvalisk, its crescent blade humming with a song of death.

The Axe Orvalisk, its massive weapon radiating an aura of devastation.

The very kingdom seemed to shake in their presence.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And then,
A deafening silence loomed in the aftermath of the explosion. Then, like a floodgate bursting open, countless human-sized versions of Orvalisks—the Intaylisks—rushed through the shattered remains of the northern gate. Their grotesque, humanoid-like, shifting forms rushed and leaped over the walls, their eerie screeches reverberating through the kingdom.
The Riscone Defense Force held their ground. Swords were drawn, spells were prepared, and the adventurers braced themselves for the brutal clash. Then, the battlefield erupted into chaos.
Blades clashed, magic surged through the air, and bodies moved with lethal precision. Yuka, atop her loyal steed Extent, surveyed the battlefield as Ralfi and Malfi circled above, their keen eyes locked onto five massive figures approaching through the thick dust and debris.
The Orvalisks had arrived.
Yuka clenched her jaw as her familiars confirmed their approach. Without hesitation, she raised her arm and signaled the five Orvalisk Subjugation Groups.
"Engage!" she commanded, her voice cutting through the battlefield like a blade.
Like arrows loosed from a bow, the five groups galloped forward, their warhorses thundering across the battlefield as they prepared to face their assigned Orvalisks. The earth trembled beneath them as the towering abominations crashed through the high kingdom's northern walls, each one radiating sheer, overwhelming power.
Above the battlefield, Hiro levitated onto the remains of the shattered walls, his expression devoid of humanity. A slow, ominous grin curled across his lips as his eyes locked onto a distant target. The Mana Rail station.
It was filled with evacuating civilians.
A sphere of black, malevolent energy crackled to life in Hiro's palm, growing larger, darker, and deadlier by the second. He pulled his hand back, ready to unleash devastation upon the helpless souls aboard the train.
But Miri saw him.
A split-second reaction.
She activated Agility Up three times in succession.
A sonic boom exploded from her position as she became a streak of golden light across the battlefield, moving at speeds beyond human comprehension. In an instant, she was there, intercepting the black energy blast with her shield, Bastion.
A violent shockwave erupted from the impact. Dust and debris scattered in all directions. The sheer force sent tremors across the kingdom's streets. But Miri stood firm, unyielding.
Hiro scowled.
In the blink of an eye, he vanished, reappearing at blinding speed right before Miri, his Cursed Greataxe of Pure Destruction swinging downward in a devastating arc.
CLANG!
Steel met steel as Bastion absorbed the full force of the attack, sparks cascading around them like a deadly firestorm. The ground beneath Miri cracked from the sheer power of the collision.
But Miri was prepared.
She activated Halo Flash—a blinding explosion of divine light erupted from her halo, forcing Hiro to recoil. His vision blurred, his balance wavered. And Miri took her chance.
With Weightless Embodiment, she floated effortlessly behind him. Then—
Backhanded Shield Bash!
A sickening CRACK echoed as Bastion slammed into the side of Hiro's skull, stunning him. His body staggered, his movements sluggish.
Then, in a seamless motion, Miri fused her shield with her sword, her weapon roaring to life as she channeled all her might into a single, decisive attack.
With rocket-powered force, she delivered a powerful slash across Hiro's torso, the impact sending him hurtling through the air like a cannonball.
He crashed through a house, demolishing its structure entirely. Dust and rubble filled the streets. The force of the impact sent shockwaves through the battlefield.
The Hiro Subjugation Group reacted instantly. Without hesitation, they mounted their horses and galloped toward the wreckage, their weapons drawn, eyes locked onto the destruction where Hiro had landed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Max's Group Vs the Sword Orvalisk...

The northern district trembled as the Sword Orvalisk carved a path of destruction, its massive blade slashing through houses, sending debris flying. Screams filled the air as civilians fled in terror. Standing atop a galloping warhorse, Max, the leader of the Sword Orvalisk Subjugation Group, narrowed his eyes at the towering monstrosity.

"This ends here!" Max declared as he leaped from his horse, mana surging around him. His Ethereal Mana Armor flared to life, encasing his body in a shimmering aura. As he landed on a crumbling rooftop, he braced himself. The Sword Orvalisk roared and brought down its massive blade, aiming to crush everything beneath it.

Max exhaled sharply. "Timing has to be perfect..." His greatsword gleamed as he readied himself, muscles tensing. Then—

"GRAND PARRY!" CLANG!

He executed a precise Grand Parry, deflecting the Orvalisk's titanic sword. The force of the parry sent tremors up the beast's arm, staggering it backward.

"NOW!" Max barked.

Burbon Wysk capitalized on the opening, launching himself from a rooftop. Flames danced along his blade. "Flowing Flame Slash!" he roared, slashing deep into the Orvalisk's back. A burning scar stretched across its monstrous form as it howled in agony.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Jax and Cal flanked the creature's right leg. "We need to keep it locked down!" Jax shouted.

"On it!" Cal responded. With blinding speed, Jax struck first, his Clear Slash cutting through the beast's thick tendon. Cal followed up immediately, executing Storm Slashing, hacking at its toes before propelling himself upward with a powerful Depth Pierce into its foot.

The Orvalisk stumbled, enraged. It swung wildly, its sword plunging toward Jax and Cal.

"Move!" Jax shouted as the two barely escaped the crushing strike, the impact sending a shockwave through the ground.

The monster then turned toward Burbon, its blade swinging with terrifying speed.

"Ack!" Burbon gritted his teeth as he braced, attempting to block. BOOM! The sheer force blasted him through a wooden barricade, sending splinters flying.

Max cursed under his breath as he dodged a piercing strike aimed at his chest. His greatsword scraped against the beast's blade, deflecting it just enough to avoid being skewered. Seeing an opportunity, he gritted his teeth and unleashed another Grand Parry, knocking the Orvalisk's sword arm skyward.

"That's it!" Max growled, activating Overdrive: Sizer. His greatsword expanded, growing massive until it nearly matched the Orvalisk's own blade.

The Orvalisk snarled and recovered, bringing its sword down in an overhead diagonal chop. Max met it head-on, his Overdrive-enhanced greatsword colliding with the humanoid beast's weapon in an earth-shaking clash. Sparks erupted as the two warriors exchanged blow after blow, steel meeting black steel in a blinding dance of destruction.

Amid the chaos, Chisa sprinted across the rooftops, her sharp eyes locked on the Orvalisk's exposed nape. "Max is running out of stamina," she noted. With a deep breath, she activated Wind Step, propelling herself high into the air. "Now's the chance!"

With pinpoint precision, she plunged her katana deep into the Orvalisk's neck with Wind Bursting Pierce. The creature shrieked in agony as mana surged violently from its core. Its chest plate split open, revealing a pulsing mana sphere gathering energy for a devastating attack.

Max wasted no time. "Not happening!" With every ounce of strength, he wrenched his enormous blade back and drove it forward, piercing deep into the Orvalisk's chest. The monster let out a deafening roar, writhing in pain.

Burbon, having recovered, shot into the air with Flame Bursting Leap, landing directly on the Orvalisk's face. "You're not getting back up!" he roared, slashing wildly with Rushing River Slashes, tearing into its black stony flesh.

The beast, desperate, raised its arms to swat Burbon away.

"Max!" Chisa shouted.

"I see it!" Max wrenched his sword free, causing the creature to stagger. With a final mighty heave, he swung his blade in a Overhead Swing, severing the Orvalisk's right arm completely.

"NOW!" Max roared.

Jax and Cal leaped forward, their blades flashing as they shredded the severed arm to pieces. The Orvalisk's massive sword, now detached, fell toward its own head.

Burbon blinked. "Oh crap!"

"BURBON, MOVE!" Max shouted.

Burbon barely had time to react, leaping away just as the beast's own massive sword plunged downward, embedding itself straight through its skull.

Chisa, Jax, and Cal didn't hesitate.

"Finish it!" Max commanded.

Chisa Featherweight Jumped onto the sword's pommel while Jax and Cal grabbed the hilt. With all their might, they pushed, and Chisa jumped off, turned, and delivered a Wind Burst Axe Kick to the weapon's butt.

SHUNK! The massive sword drove deeper, impaling the Orvalisk's head.

The beast let out one final, earsplitting wail before its body went limp.

Max exhaled, raising his greatsword for a final attack. "Ending it!" With a mighty cleave from left to right, he bisected the Orvalisk's body in one final Side Sweeping Cleave.

The Sword Orvalisk collapsed, lifeless.

Silence fell over the battlefield.

Burbon groaned as he sat up. "Hah… remind me to never fight one of these things alone."

Max sheathed his greatsword, panting. "Good work, everyone. One down… but we're not done yet."

Chisa nodded. "Let's move. The others need us."
