Keira Olsen could see that James Olsen was almost jumping out of his skin. She raised an eyebrow and nodded, "Why? Can't I go?"
Of course she couldn't go.
Just as James Olsen was about to say that, Ellis Olsen suddenly came over, "Keera, there's something I want to talk to you about. Come with me for a moment."
Keira Olsen nodded and followed Ellis to the side, "What's up?"
Ellis inquired, "How's Mary Davis doing lately?"
Keira opened her mouth, "She's doing quite well."
Ellis's expression froze for a moment.
The child really was his.
This was something he had never expected. When he remembered how persistently Mary Davis had tried to keep the child, it was because she loved the child's father.
He thought that Mary Davis liked him.
He assumed that Mary Davis avoided him because she resented him over the child. But if she was doing well, could it mean she no longer loved him?
Ellis lowered his gaze, letting out a bitter laugh.
