Volume 2, Chapter 57: The Reasons for Fear of Animals

After I returned to the infirmary, I first made a series of phone calls, letting people know that I had to undergo a month of secret special training and afterward participate in a Bodyguard Martial Arts Competition. To ensure my full attention was concentrated, I would possibly have to cut off communications for a while, but phone contact was still okay, as long as it wasn't too frequent.

Since I was a member of the martial arts community, the excuse was a bit odd but somewhat plausible. I also said phone calls were permitted, so I quickly dealt with everyone with lies, except for my mom.

I usually went home once a week, but she likes to surprise attack by popping over unannounced and making a fuss if I wasn't there. She knew my master, and if she found out I was lying, who knew what terrifying thing she would do, so I just told her the truth.
