The next morning, as soon as I stepped out of my building, I saw Mrs. Tu looking at me with a mischievous grin.
"What are you up to?" I instinctively became defensive. "I don't need a ride from you today, I'm calling a cab since it's my last day going there."
"Oh, ok, I won't drive you." She agreed cheerfully, which only made me more suspicious.
And she laughed eerily. Following her gaze, I saw Lin Zefeng's car parked not far away, that flashy Lamborghini. The car door was open, and he sat alone in the driver's seat reading a newspaper.
I was greatly surprised, then felt a bit guilty. Why was it him? Was he here to expose me just as I was about to resign? Or did he have some other ulterior motive? It's hard to figure him out, he's really weird. But strangely, I wasn't afraid of him.
