Several days had passed, and Lin Zefeng had finally regained some peace of mind. The impact of the parking lot incident had gradually faded away. However, perhaps it was a case of enemies often crossing paths, that noon Zexiu insisted on having lunch with him at the staff canteen where, once again, he encountered that woman, and the figure he had almost forgotten was deeply imprinted in his mind again, indelibly so.
Initially, he disliked eating at the employee dining hall because, although he was not picky about food, he hated the noisy environment. He hated even more how the group of women dressed flamboyantly, each vying for attention, awaiting approval either from him or Zexiu, leaving little left of the dining atmosphere. Yet, Zexiu argued that they should occasionally demonstrate approachability to enhance the company's culture, and so he reluctantly agreed.
Little did he know, it would be a disastrous noon.
