"Crash!"
Qi Si's face turned ugly as he suddenly stood up.
He scared the senior employees who were sitting next to him reporting on their work; they thought they had said something wrong that angered Qi Si so much.
They were frightened into silence.
Qi Si coldly gestured with his hand, then quickly dialed Shen Yan's number.
His anxious heart finally relaxed a bit as the call connected.
"Yanyan," Qi Si's voice came through, low and deep, "where are you going?"
"I'm going to take care of something and will be back within a week, maybe even less time. Qi Si, you don't need to rush to find me; I haven't lied to you," Shen Yan explained hastily.
She was really afraid that Qi Si would misunderstand something.
"Why won't you take me with you?"
"Ah?"
Something was off in Qi Si's voice.
"Why leave me behind?"
"I'm not leaving you behind; I just need to pick something up and then I'll be back," Shen Yan said more urgently.
