Shen Heyu walked to the edge of the campus and took out her phone to contact Pei Yansi.
It took a few seconds before the call was answered.
"What's the matter?"
"Where is your daughter?" Shen Heyu's voice was cold, but she couldn't help feeling terrified, her hand trembling as she held the phone, "Yuexue is missing."
Pei Yansi's voice turned abruptly colder, "What did you say?"
"Where is Yuexue? Did you take her?"
Shen Heyu's first suspect was Pei Yansi; was it possible that she had taken her daughter just to trap her by his side?
Hearing her words, Pei Yansi almost immediately grasped her implication; he didn't argue about it as the most critical task was to find his daughter.
His important afternoon meeting hadn't even concluded yet, but he couldn't concern himself with it much at this moment. He stood up from his seat, waved his hand to signal the meeting's adjournment, and then spoke into the phone, "Where are you right now?"
